i know your more a singles fan than doubles (i am other way) but have you noticed cash/pattern's climb up the rankings
they missed the French and Wimbledon this year when Patten was injured and cash and his stand ins did nothing.

just outside the top 50 now mainly with results on the challenger tour.

would love too see them get just a little higher so they can make the main draws of the bigger events

Don't really pay much attention, but have vaguely followed them.

Now TV very annoying.  Boulter playing the girl in form and they switched it off for Murray. Am hoping Draper does Hurkacz quickly so we can see the end.

7 brits entered 1st round
7 brits make it too 2nd round

Making Britain great again

Great stuff. I watched a few games as well as off sick.  Miyazaki had a dream draw, but the others all seemed to be good wins.  Miyazaki now ahead of Dart and Swan and not far behind Watson.

I am not sure what is going on with Swan as haven't heard anything.

how does the lucky loser work ? i thought it was the highest seeded player to lose in the last qualifying round!
Broady was the 10th seed but Duckworth and Cazaux both got in as LL ahead of him

It is a draw amongst the highest ranked players that were eliminated in the last round.  So Cazaux and Duckworth had the same chance as him.

Edit.  Just checked and Broady was drawn 4th of the 4 highest seeds, so needed 4 withdrawals.

Dan Evans looking incredibly low on confidence go two sets down as the light got darker. Wouldn't bet on Evans to win a match in the near future after that, he looked completely shot, full of self doubt.

This prediction worked out well!

Ha, was quite sympathetic to your thinking too.  Kind of think he was grumpy and chastising himself whilst collecting the trophy.

Paulo Lorenzi was older in case you are wondering.

We could have 5 in the top 100 men soon.  Draper should be back soon enough and Broady on the borders.

i wasnt watching drapers 2nd match when he pulled out this week was it just to protect himself for next week?
he looked good in the first round

I assume he is just looking after himself after a long injury.  He has Hurcacz in round 2 and has 3rd round points to defend, so maybe top 100 will have to wait a bit.

He doesn't get nearly the same amount of grief as Raducanu, but can't be far off with his injuries.   Would be good to see them both go injury free next year.

Strictly for the Sky Poker guys...

Our package winners get to play an MTT at Venetian, which has 2 x Day 1's (yesterday & today) with the final day tomorrow (Thursday).

Each of the opening days plays down until 12.5% of the entries remain, they are then guaranteed a cash & go through to Thursday's final day.

Yesterday, there were 69 entries, so 9 have made the money & will return tomorrow. Unforch, as I noted yesterday, I could not really interact with the players or take photos.

5 of our players elected to play Day 1a yesterday, being Alvez11, "Josh Manley Poker", bigfatfish, loololollo, & Nigel M (sorry, forgot alias).

Of those five, four fell by the wayside, with loololollo the lone survivor, so he's guaranteed at least a min cash. Decent shape too, just below average with 258,000. Blinds will resume at 6,000-12,000/12,000. (BB Ante), so I suppose that's in the region of 20 Bigs, though I'm not sure how to calculate it to allow for BB ante. Hopefully he'll wear a different hat tomorrow, a multi-coloured  bucket hat is not something I'd be seen dead in, and as is well-known, I am an arbiter of fine taste in the clothery department.

I should perhaps add that our players (& only our players) also have a $200 per head Last Longer, with, I think, 3 places paid.

Any more updates I can post on the other place Tikay?

Hi Tikay

I can post these updates over on the other place if you like.  Will just post when I can, as am not on here 7am to 10pm with work and kids etc.  But will try and check in every few hours.

Might struggle with photos.

Let me know if you want me to do this including any bits you don't want posting next door.  Alternatively I could just make stuff up as you won't be able to check any of it Smiley

Have a better trip pokerwise than I did.

Just when you thought the WSOP was almost over...

https://www.wsop.com/tournaments/schedule/?groupid=5297

I saw that, when I was mooching around on the WSOP website.

I could have had a spin at the 50 stack, but I've got tickets for the Joshua fight.

Only just seen it.  PLO8 on a Monday and dare say it screws up Tuesday if I cash?  Very tempting though

#struture says its a 1 day comp  might be 4 or 5 am finish though

It won't be that late.  Reaches starting stack BB after 11 hours.  Even with breaks it isn't going much past 2am with 50 entrants.

Realised I can't play it as the missus is away, so someone has to make sure the kids aren't eating dog turds or burning down the house.

And makes it to the final of the junior girls doubles at age 14.

Isabelle Lacy has made a decent start at senior level 2.

And Henry Searle has made it to the junior boys final too.

I think British Tennis will be fine.  Just wish I could watch, but got to do the Dad thing tomorrow afternoon.  Obviously hoping Alcaraz wins too.

Talking about blasts from the past.  Just noticed Ben Grundy is playing the 10k PLO8.  He used to absolutely crush omaha on Betfair winning millions allegedly, and then just seemed to disappear.

Think he now has one of the largest gaps on his Hendon Mob after cashing the other day.  He is really low, so is unlikely to cash big, but gl to him.

Talking of large gaps in Hendon Mob.

Congrats Camel

$2500 Omaha/stud hilo

Pads leads the field

Good luck later.  You probably know this but Carol Fchs is a really strong player though don't think she gets out of line much.

Mark Greg, played with him a lot, don't see him just raising A2xy.

Matt Grep, he looks familiar and has a stud bracelet.

No time to look at the rest, but could be a tough table.  Player on your left has only one cash.

Looked at the other 3.

White, lots of small cashed in Australia including omaha and one tiny Hi-Lo tournament.

Geyser, lots of cashes in LA including lots of mixed games.  Looks a rare visitor to WSOP.

Brooks.  Only cashes at WSOP. Looks like he just rocks up for a week each year.

I don't recognise any of these 3, so likely don't play a lot of High Lo in Vegas.

So rest of table looks fine, and table probably not that tough after all.

Brits crushing Jack Toby and Stato all on 26-30m with 34 left!

That Stato hand looked pretty grim and disappointing it was one of the villians in the field!

Still 4 from 15 Brits left.  Giving the Americans a run for their money.  Must be the best overall British performance I can remember.
