Thought Katie Boulter was more impressive than Murray.  Still 500/1 with Paddy Power and Betfair Sportsbook.  Does nobody there even work on a Sunday?  Only 2 weeks until Wimbledon, so 2 weeks for the rest to get their eye in.

Think Cazaux is one for the notebooks.  Was a bit overawed at the start, but have Murray a tough test for someone so inexperienced.

He has run good on opponents injuries (when winning) but had reached the semi final in Ilkley.

I have seen it suggested that he should get a wildcard for Wimbledon, so not exactly flying under the radar.

500/1 Boulter and 150/1 Norrie both gone.  Nobody seems to want to play well on the grass amongst the women.  Seeds are getting skittled at Berlin and Edgbaston too.  What chances Dart makes the final?

Good luck today Rob.  Hoping for great things in the morning.

Boulter is way ahead here unfortunately.

Burrage, Boulter is interesting.

I had Burrage close to her after watching the last few matches.  She has improved enormously over the last couple of years.

Have laid Boulter at 1.54 and think it is a great bet.

Quite sad in Nottingham today, walked past the Dart/Watson match and less than 20 there.  It is on court 1, but they have only sold centre and Match was rescheduled.

How is it at Nottingham, are the mens matches getting bigger crowds and hype even though on paper the Challenger is a step below the women's 250?

I have had a little bet on Burrage for a sweat on your recommendation! Have not followed the tournament this week there on the ladies side.

Am only here today.  I think Men's challer is > women's double final, and we have really good seats right behind Andy Murray, hence not moving.

I came last year and would say WTA final was better supported than the men's final despite Dan Evans in the latter.  We are in the gap between matches so less than half full now, but natural time to eat.  We sneaked out between sets as I have grumpy kids with me.

Burrage Boulter final, and England cricketers playing way more aggressively than Australia.  Who was backing that a couple of years ago?

Is anyone around Nottingham tomorrow?  Missus is ill so might have a spare ticket.  It is due to rain on and off and I'll have the kids with me.  Starts at 11.

just need paddy or skybet to offer 25/1 a british women's winner of wimbledon now to suck all the mugs in!

Paddy Power are 500/1 Katie Boulter.  Katie Swan and Jodie Burrage were only 200/1, not really sure why that is.  Think Boulter is better than both.  Can get the same at Shy and Betfair.

Probably a bad price, but got to gamble at 1/2 first 2.

Edit.  They laid me £2.50 e/w and Shy £2 e/w FWIW. Can get the same price on Alize Cornet, so I did.  Feels like you have to go with current grass form at these prices.

And they'd still only lay you 80p.

It looks like we are very likely to have at least one British girl in the final of the Nottingham Open on Sunday.  Dart, Boulter and Watson are all in to the quarter finals in the bottom half of the draw together with Golubic (who was beaten by Boulter in Surbiton).

So we are likely to see somebody in the top 100, and a possible first WTA title for Dart or Boulter.  If Burrage can win now, all the seeds will be out, and the whole tournament has opened up.

And Jodie Burrage wins too.

We are the greatest tennis nation in the World all of a sudden...  Mad that none of them were good enough to get in the main draw (might be wrong with Burrage, as she seemed to get in without a wild card, so it was probably calculated on her points before she lost last year's Surbiton results).

And 3 out of 4 in the semis, and chances of an all British final with all the really dangerous players gone.

There is going to be a British pair in the women's doubles final too.

Horrid news. Puts things in perspective.

Besides my poker accomplishments im the only poker player who's ever had a 5min segment on my life on sportscenter, & im only person on the 2023 ballot who signs & takes 100 pic and autograph a day with so many saying I only got into poker because of you! I've got 4 bracelets 0 since my injury but have made 11 final tables since my injury at wsop, 5 wpt finals nbc hu in 2013? I play from my heart in awful pain everyday yet still crush the cash games! I know ill get in if not this yr but my mom is 85 so I hope it's this yr!"

Yeh he was allin 7.5k .  Sorry my tired write up could have been clearer !
I watch his vlogs all time for wsop, they are so bad it’s just too good to miss for entertainment purposes.
Basically just him moaning about run bad the whole time with him crashing his scooter into a person or a door almost every other vlog.
He literally just spent hours just moaning to Robert Williamson 3rd ( I think ) who was sat next to him.

So todays draw includes a certain Victor Blom sat next to me.   Also Eoghan O’Dea who funny enough i had never spoken to until I had a friendly conversation for 5 minutes 3 way with Rob Sherwood the first night.

Literally half left so aren’t really deep in the mtt at all.  But in with a shot and really looking for forward to it.  Managed 5.5 hours sleep but might try for some more when I get back after my eggs Benedict and fresh fruit .  Should be 3-5mins to room today for breaks as over in horseshoe .

Eoghan O'Dea is really solid at Omaha, played with him before.  Played with Isildur before and he isn't that special at mixed games.   Maybe he was just card dead though.  Sample size probably too low for conclusions.

Think Matusow hasn't stopped moaning in years.  Could you hear him from 5 tables away?  I saw Phil Helmuth bigging him up for the hall of fame the other day, and was thinking a random would be better.  Think it gets voted by other old farts that used to be good at poker, so maybe he is a shoe-in?

There are plenty of old farts who are really pleasant at the table, and I am well and truly an old fart too, so it isn't just an anti old fart thing.  Given a choice I would definitely remove the over 40 requirement and put in someone like Shaun Deeb or Benny Glaser (even if he runs so golden Vs me).
