We have several

The main one being a monthly 35 FO which gets 15-20 players, 30 goes to the pot on the day, 5 to a fund for a final where the top 9 and 1 random wildcard play for a STT for about 1200 in total

The next 2 may seem odd but they work great

we have 2 x 2 day games each year, the big one being in the summer, this is a 10 man STT played over 2 days, 20k stack , 1 hr levels day 1 ( 40/30 min day 2 ) £75 buy in with £50 rebuys/add on for the 8 hours of day 1

This is played outdoors, with BBQ, loads of beer etc

A lot of fofks told us the structure could never work but it really does

the last game is a variation on the above, played indoors in winer, 21 runners last year, £30 buy in with £20 rebuys for 1 day , 21 runners last year

I don't really play in it. I just turn up get pissed and make everyone else look good. Some chump with a bald head and a mardy tendency won it this season.

Vegas doesn't seem a good odea for a 16yr old to me, you would have him with tou at night due to the curfew on unaccompanied minors and this would restrict what you could do

Howabout running some all in satellites at the club? 10 players, €60 each, flipament, winner gets seat. I'll play till I get one...I'm good at them skill games you see!

Great idea!! And probably the best way for Rotty to win a seat and belive it or not i think he is even more lucky than you Mitch... lol

It's an outrage

well maybe slightly

ok well probably true recently Wink

Can someone give me cliffs on the tourney and when I'd have to play live if "won/qualified" online?

Loads 0f online and live Day 1's/Flights/Sats , call them what you will

10% of each go trhough to Day 2 on Saturday with a guaranteed cash, Day 2 starts as a fresh game with 15k chips each
204  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Grand Prix Overlay now projected at €119,500 !! on: August 15, 2011, 12:15:25 PM
Would be nice if the amiount going through was guaranteed at a min of 10% , I think there was an online one with 24 runners which got 2 seats was was 8.3%, then again maybe that would cause logistical problems

That apart I will continue to support this by mindlessly donking off more cash Wink

25 runners = 3 seats = 12% it all evens out in the long run
Yes, I have no problem in the fairness, was just an idea to maybe attract a few more and limit losses
