Only darts touching the board counting point - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=towTlec_C2E

In the World Matchplay last night, & it was Luke Littler v Josh Rock.

It was a treble-fest, & between them, they scored 29 x 180's, 80 x 140's & 146 x 100's.

In one leg, BOTH players threw 6 perfect darts, Littler went 60, 60, 60, Rock went 60,60,60, then Littler went 60, 60, 60 & Rock followed suit, 60, 60, 60. Rock was denied his chance of a 9 darter though as Littler checked out with his next 3 darts for a 9-darter.

There's no way a 9 darter is more difficult than a Hole In One or a 147.

Depends on whether you class a hole in one as skill or luck? Anyone can hit a hole in one(luck)but at the same time skilled professional players can go ages with getting one. It takes real skill to to hit a 147 and a 9 darter(there's no fluking either). 36 perfect shots for a 147 or 9 perfect darts so my thoughts are 147,9 darter then hole in one.

my research says the leg is won. I've posted on a darts group to see if this is the case. However, if you are just scoring points, only darts with the tip touching the board count towards your score in that throw.(don't know how to work links however this video will show the tip touching the board point- https://youtube.com/shorts/mweqgdr5Vqs?feature=shared )

3 years ago I was able to run ten miles with 35lbs on my back. Then my knee injury occurred, I've had surgery last year and I'm over 16 stone. So, to counter this I've joined a boxing gym last week. I'm also hopefully going to do a White Collar boxing match in December. Enjoying what I've done so far and it's also got me back weight training and diet has improved. Not sure if it's the sort of thing a 52yo should be doing however I've paid my subs and I'm too tight to let that money go begging. Cheesy

Have played a bit with Will. Agree it looks like he went over the top, but do you think the wsop floor treated him unfairly/ out of line with the shot clocks / penalties etc?
I think he has brought it upon himself with  his constant antics.

I'm pleased that this has happened. For me, he tries to be as obnoxious as possible within the rules and norms of poker. He genuinely makes people not enjoy the game and his actions are very much against the spirit of the game. Now a precedent has been set, he'll think about how he can proceed at the next poker table he plays on. However, I doubt it very much. You only have to listen to his exit from the casino to see his take on the situation/poker/life.
Gd riddance

I'mfeeling a certain amount of miffage at that fact I don't have a financial interest in your success this year due to a lacking of Tikay Staking action. Grin Grin Grin Grin
Good to see you doing well and perhaps the lack of pressure from a stake  is contributing to your play and fortune. Keep it up.

Glad to see you're enjoying your poker, free from the pressures of a staking consortium behind you waiting for tales of derring do and scoopios.
Myself on the other hand find myself at a loss to where I can play online. As I have an Imac, I can't download the Sky App and the browser version is absolutely Pony. I have accounts with GGpoker and PartyPoker but don't particularly enjoy playing their structure of tournament, the stoopid animations and river card peel(I know I can turn some of them off)really makes me seriously considering stopping playing. I'll probably just start playing sats, for bigger live events and see if I can't get back into live playing which I used to enjoy a lot.
Enough of my moaning, looking forward to the Vegas updates and seeing how your retirement goes. Hopefully catch up at a live table soon.

I am indeed still doing a bit of writing here and there. Just published this piece about Brits to watch out for at the WSOP.

https://www.poker.pro/poker-news/wsop/wsop-2025/british-outlook-for-the-2025-wsop/

The article that won the GPI award, which was referred to in a previous post was this one:

https://www.poker.pro/poker-news/a-further-investigation-into-the-existence-of-the-botfarm-corporation/

There is also a follow up, published last week:

Very interesting articles esp with reference to rec players.

Probably already been discussed but some interesting points here.https://www.legaluspokersites.com/news/should-non-americans-be-wary-of-travelling-to-wsop-2025/?fbclid=IwY2xjawJ9-W5leHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETEyU3Z5SWxYamJIazNqS3FPAR6PjH9XtH1geDNUzFDmkF15KoCsPKrNftV8Ng352BdVp0wAqr5tScGXlz8qiQ_aem_MdD-bnLEaikY7GKlqxZACw

Just found out that the Sky Poker forum and independent site are going.  I know you always say that you are pleased for survive the year still in employment, so suppose that I am going to outlast you in employment after all?

Always thought I'd spend my retirement messing about in small stakes on Sky, but can't see it happening now. I have had iPoker accounts in the past, but didn't like it. Suppose I might have to make a few trips to DTD instead, and challenge the new blood there (heard you are cleaning up).  Can't see me playing hold'em on line much going forward, maybe just reappear for big series?  So hard to make money when so many run solvers.

Also, think am likely going out to Vegas for the PLO8 this year.  The schedule is out on Monday.  Don't know how long that will last either.  are you planning a trip?  Maybe I need to take up golf?

Seems Miami John didn't make it, he was one of the good ones.
I'm wondering myself where to play my poker after this happens.

Wynn schedule is out.

Includes at least two lovely looking Big O's ($1,100 each), & two 5 Card PLO. There's a Limit O8 but I never saw any PLO8.

The first Big O is Monday 26th May, the day I had planned to arrive. Might have to move my flight forward a day or two.

More importantly when is the Tikay Staking details gonna be released?
