Thanks for running, I enjoyed that and will def participate in more.

The Fed number 1, Man City spend and Olympic medals were the best questions in terms of making educated guesses with a broad range of possible answers imo

Entered my answers.

Yes q8 is ambiguous but I didn't let that stop me putting in a terrible guess

I watched about 30 minutes of the first one and found it quite enjoyable. It was good fun watching the terrible play until one hand tilted me so much I had to turn it off.

Guy who eventually wins limps cutoff w 74s, 2 folds and bb checks QThh

Flop KJxhh check, bet, raise, 3bet, call.
Turn Kx. check, bet 1/6 pot, snap fold by QThh. Cutoff shows air, everyone else at the table gives a round of applause.

I've been offered furlough by my employer for 2-3 months until business resumes. I will get the 80% of wages that government is guaranteeing. Interestingly the employer doesn't have to top the rest up to your wages and I don't imagine many are!

I'm in hospitality industry and was 100% getting the tin-tack so snapcalled.

Do you mind me asking if they are paying you as normal or not until they receive the funds from HMRC?

Thanks

Bank meeting at 3pm for me.

Leggo!

Sure no problem.

Yes I am being paid as usual, my company is in a position to cover until they get the money back. I know a lot of small companies aren't able to, and others won't. Wetherspoons are acting fucking outrageously given their size as they are waiving commercial rents for the next quarter as a landlord!

Whilst not good for absolutes, this is a great period to improve yourself relative to the field.

Most people are going to put their feet up or get bored of home sessions.

Keep battling and make good diet adjustments and you can be much better placed than most in 2 months time.

I say this as someone who has done jackshit this week.

What are employee rights regarding home office and travelling to work in a pandemic? The government is saying don't make unnecessary travel.

My employer hasn't made any real effort to facilitate WFH for staff. The boss says we are a key service (we aren't)

I'm fairly certain a P45 is coming for a lot of staff regardless but am I in breach of contract (typical off the shelf contract) If I were to say I can't come into work on the tube to Central London?

Unfortunately I don't see shop shelves getting better for at least a week.

Most people are well stocked up but everyone is going in again to keep 'prepared'.

It has taken me quite a while to convince relatives to eat the meals in their freezer rather than nip out to see what's available and interacting with others.

Can anyone explain why Trump is 4/6 for re-election. Are all the Dem candidates terrible again? Has America actually become greater again behind the headlines?

I went to one of their games last season and had a great time. Young crowd obviously but a lot less hatred and bile which was refreshing.

Have stopped watching the youtube vids but non-league is where it's at entertainment wise.

After being injured and sad for nearly a year that my ankle is too fucked for running on consistently I joined a gym a couple of months ago and am really enjoying it. Been doing weights for about a month now and today I did;

Squat 60kg 3x5
Overhead Press 25kg 3x6
DB bench 16kg 4x6
Lat raises 6kg 3x10

I have been doing that followed by random core stuff, with a 6-10k run once per week at the weekend.

Goals:
Keep going to the gym
Learn to deadlift
Learn to bench press
Learn good form for compound movements
Get on nodding terms with the strong guys
Lose around 5-6kg

Hi Ledders. Great stuff there and some very realistic goals. So many people want to run before they can walk so it's good to see that your goals initially are just to learn.

Have you made any diet changes to hit your weight loss goals? What you're doing in the gym will hardly burn any calories so you won't lose anything purely from that.

Would you happy with a body re-composition rather than just lose weight? You may find that you shift a few kgs of fat but gain the same amount in muscle.

I haven't made any big changes to diet, just aiming at a few less beers here, less carbs there. I get free lunch at work but it's all unhealthy so need to take the £ hit making my own simple meals. I think a body re-composition is what I'm after really. Natural state of a small calorie deficit without the crap and liquid calories, and gain some muscle as a beginner.

As I build a base and am able to do more, I aim to add more cardio in as I do enjoy running but I'm scared of re-injury. Being stronger will help mitigate that both physically and mentally.

Will be keenly following this thread and posting occasional updates myself. My mate showed me deadlifts and barbell rows at the weekend so pleased with that.

Charlie Bigham's are expensive, and need to be cooked in the oven, but they are very good. My grandma eats them most days now as she's getting too old to cook. I believe it's Waitrose and Tesco which stock them and they can be up to 50% off on their best before date when they become great value imo.
