All the top stuff here, McG.

Seen the Ortiz fight from Saturday night yet?

Good ruck, that.

Yeh he's a legit talent at 147lb and Hooker could of upset a lesser prospect.

Marvelous video!

First Okolie calls out Dwyer in his world title speech and now we get a bit of old Rummy's Corner.

Haha, has he signed with Eddie?

Sauerland, again.

Eddie matched one of his journeyman fighters with Jnr?

Eubank is regularly used for name value on weak ppv cards.

You watch the Estrada fight yet, McG?

Incredible fight.

Live like a proper sicko. Fantastic stuff. I was enjoying it way too much to keep score. Did you try?

The Mountain bore a passing resemblance to a man who has a place in combat sports. Frampton's compliments during the Ward exhibition were more sincere than facetious. The floor for how bad he could be was really low.

Disclaimer I've not got around to looking at Eddie Hall yet. Besides everybody looks good on the pads.

Yeah, that was the thing. He could have been like 3am outside a nightclub useless Cheesy

Was better than that, and definitely more useful than expected Cheesy

Fights like Freddie Flintoff is my go to diss Smiley

I forgot he did some boxing thing didn't he Cheesy

Not sure I ever saw that, and remember Rio doing one as well, wasn't it?

This is a quality watch if you've forgotten the spoilers.

Rio with BT backing and a years worth of training never saw the light of day. It's a shame as these novelty fights can be fantastic for punting.

Think Yildrim makes the 2nd half of the fight?

See Parker had a WWE match with Fa this morning.

I’m on the 1-4 and 1-6 so I hope not.

We'll see what Jeol Diaz has done with him. Yildrim's weight is so far over his front foot though.

Yeah, unnecessary punishment. Nightmare for Eddie. Loses Warrington to Frank for him big fights. Pays a few quid to get him back and then that happens. Feels like that was a career changing beating as well. I’m not sure he bounces back from that.

It's a total mindfuck aswell as an extended beating. A victim of the pandemic he's gone from peaking at 28/29, selling out arena's, and about to unify in a big payday, to this.

Hope you had a good Xmas, mate!

Shame the last year has killed a lot of the fighting off, and hopefully we'll be back in the groove by '22.

It's all good. I've been checking in covid thread n stuff and never noticed how long it's been since I posted.

Just watched the Panorama doc on Dan Kinahan & MTK.

All stuff that's well known, but someone is trying to derail the Fury fight.

You wouldn't trust Barry McGuigan with a secret, would you?

Currently reading The Lost Soul of Eamonn MaGee by Paul Gibson. Won the William Hill Sports book of the year a couple of years back.

About growing up boxing in Belfast during the troubles. Run ins with the IRA. His battles with addiction to drugs, booze and gambling. Just got to the part in 2002 where he fought a youngish Ricky Hatton. Good read so far. Very well written though MaGee comes over as quite unlikeable and a complete mess. I have no idea how he ever made it in the ring for a fight the state he was in most of the time.

Anyone else read it? Any other favourite boxing books?

Donald McRae's writing stands out. Dark Trade is a rights of passage classic. I also enjoyed A Man's World about Emile Griffith's double life.

can't watch Callum Smith fight without picturing the time Rodney Trotter pretended to be a kid.

Cheesy

Tough as hell, but just levels isn't it.

Huge. You get on?

I never got a chance to back in running, as Canelo basically just went at him from the 2nd Cheesy

I nicked a few quid on points, though.

Thought that was going for a burton when Gallagher said 'I'm giving you 1 more round' after 9 I think it was.

Did you go at him all ways, or just outright?

I've come round to just lumping the outright. Gallagher fighters are always a mile out their depth and left to take a sustained beating.
