yep totally correct. James Ward built his career for many years off Wimbledon wildcards.

I don't really see Brits getting extra wildcards for other tourneys around the world particularly. There is a thing between france and australia where they each give each other a wildcard for the grand slam in their country.

I'd like to see a stat of which players got the most wildcards in their careers. Must be out there somewhere.

I didn't watch the game last night but I feel he is playing at quite a high level, similar to Evans or Norrie and players ranked from 20 to 40. He played at a very high level vs Tsitspias and it was almost vintage Murray in parts of that match and some of the other matches has has lost have been tight, he isn't getting blown away, plus as a non seed you can often get tough draws and it is a vicious cycle.

If I am an ATP 250 or 500 tourney organiser then I am definitely giving Murray a wild card if he wants one because he is a grand slam winner, can put some bums on seats and draw interest and I also still think he has it in his locker to win one of these tournaments.

For the grand slams and probably the Masters 1000s I don't think he can probably win one of these again, but his ranking is only just outside the cut off anyway.

The whole wildcard system is a sham anyway usually to get a few more home players in the field. Some countries like France or the US benefit massively from this but if you are from some obscure country you have to do it all on hard work!

these are crazy prices. There is no way she is near 10/1 for either of these tournies. She played great and ran well in one tourney. I might have to load up Betfair for this.

Similar thing happened to Gauff's odds after her breakout.

Did anyone see Gary Neville's interviews with Joshua and then Fury last week? I quite enjoyed his interview style. Against my better judgement I find myself increasingly rooting for Fury instead of Joshua these days!

I'm glad it isn't just me that gets annoyed about getting spoilers from when it shows the duration of the match on Amazon Prime! Hate it.

My tried and tested hi-tech method is to use my hand to block on the screen where the duration is when you first start to play the match. After about five seconds it then disappears from the screen. Then you can't pause of skip bits, you just have to watch the whole thing through in one go, but the duration never pops up again so you don't know how long is left.

Well done Emma!

Worth staying up for!

working today, so just watched it as live.  awful these days trying to avoid the result.  Even then got timing tells off amazon prime, so was pretty sure there would be only 2 sets followed by the guff after.

Loving it.

Did anyone watch the impromptu Brazil training session that they had on the pitch after the match was abandoned? It was brilliant.

On the channel I was watching the cameras kept rolling. It was 10 a side on a half a pitch, two touch. The players seemed like they were having a great time, fantastic skills and no cheating, rolling around or trying to con referees in site. Just fun and the joy of the game. Plus there were three keepers, so one of the back ups played outfield and scored an absolute screamer!

I can probably speak for Gary (forgive and Fournette) to say he is probably out for this year but I can ask him

Thanks for all the organising. And thanks to Tighty for last year.

My views
Roster size - I am happy with 30 just to keep it how it was. I could be persuaded to go to 28. I am not too fussed. I also don't mind a barer waiver wire. We aren't playing redraft, so it is nice to just keep someone for a year or two to develop, particularly as there aren't taxi squads in this league. And also we are only playing with one flex, so everyone should have a bench player to fill in if needed.
- Leading on to - You never had taxi squads so I would say don't introduce them now into this league
- With IR I am happy for it to mirror the official IR of the NFL. Again I could be persuaded.
- I am not sure about suspended players. How was it on yahoo?

Sleeper is really usable and everything rolls over each season - so I would be more than happy to move over. Should be able to customise roster sizes and IR slots however you want. The only sticking point I can see as if somehow can't put settings the same, maybe for waivers or something like that?

I am out for the redraft this year.

It would be a case of allocating the teams and then allocating the picks. I guess not that much more time than setting up the yahoo? and then it is done for future years, and everything is automatic and all picks tracked etc when the league rolls over to the new season. But there could be something in the existing league that isn't covered in the rules/settings of sleeper too or maybe people like the functionality of yahoo and want to keep it?

If people like Sleeper and want to do it then I would be happy to donate a few hours to help in July, just to set up the teams and set up the rookie picks and stuff.

The worst ever queen's club tennis event in my lifetime this week.   Shocking how poor the standard has become in this event over the last decade.

Its a weird one. But yeah, very weak and wide open. The French moving back one week has clearly harmed the field, plus a lot of players have chosen to play in Germany. Maybe it was easier to travel there from France or the promoters topped up their pay days?
