Doobs - Sorry to hear about your bad news and that you won't make it to WSOP this year. But GL to anyone going to Vegas this year.
Has anyone been to Vegas in January. I kind of have an idea about the weather. Much more pleasant. But is the poker action dead? I guess it will pick up for superbowl in Feb. But maybe there are also some conventions in Jan. Anyone been then?

Steve Albini also holder of two WSOP bracelets won in recent years, One in 7 card Stud and one in HORSE. By all accounts a very good mixed games player. Was a regular poster on twoplustwo. I got to play with him for a couple of hours a while back which was quite a thrill as he made some of my favourite albums like PJ Harvey's Rid of Me, In Utero by Nirvana and Pixies.
Pretty sad about this one.

Nice one, mate! I did, and did not enjoy getting to bed at 7am... Though being sober has its upsides when you wake up Sunday ![Cheesy](http://blondepoker.com/forum/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I had a bet, but not a massive one and had said the same to all my mates who watch. They were all on the BSD hype train, but I said the same thing I said when he fought Conor the first time, and was a similar price. That said, I have to give a disclaimer that I never back against Dustin, and probably won't if he fights Islam. Yes the odds on the first Conor vs Dustin fight were also insane. Why is he so underestimated? I generally do a power nap and then wake up at 4am here in Germany for when the main card starts!

No Idea how Dustin Porier is almost 2/1 for his UFC fight tonight against a really good guy - but one who has never fought top calibre opposition. Just seems like an absurd line based on hype for the Frenchman and the fact that Poirier got KOd by Justin G in his last fight. I'm having a big bet.
Hello tips for tikay!
oioi, well done bergeroo Dustin Poirier defeats Benoit Saint Denis by KO (strikes) at 2:32 of Round 29/5 or 15/8 on Dustin was making absolutely no sense to me. Beautiful uppercut and right hook to win the fight after losing the first round - as I thought he might. Dustin is a tough dude and an absolute legend. Anyone watch it last night?

Did anybody else have any joy in the ballot?
I got centre court tickets for the quarter finals. Reckon I could have gone to Nottingham for the week on the £165 they cost.
Looking forward to Raducanu Vs Boulter and Draper Vs Alcaraz.
Nice going! No luck this year so far for us, but they do send them out in waves I think.... I noticed that the Laver Cup is in Berlin next year. Does anyone take this seriously? It is played for ranking points, right? Or is it just a glorified exhibition?

All the best Ironside. Hope you get home soon.
Had a good day at Wimbledon with my mum on Monday. Was really glad of the massive queue for groundpasses as we got in at 10:30 with our court two tickets and a very small queue and managed to get a seat courtside on a small outside court to see a five set epic between Jordan Thompson and Nakashima. Great comeback as Thompson looked completely out of it for two sets and then started serve volleying - I've never seen a full five setter in person before so it was pretty cool. By 2pm after the short rain delay it was noticably much much fuller, so we spent most of the rest of the time in our court two seats. Interestingly our seats were right next to the player boxes, next to coach and family. So we saw Katie Swan's muted and disappointing performance and her coaches useless encouragement against a frustrated and under par Bencic and Dan Evans looking incredibly low on confidence go two sets down as the light got darker. Wouldn't bet on Evans to win a match in the near future after that, he looked completely shot, full of self doubt.
Glad we weren't there on Tuesday for all the rain
Thiem vs Tsitsipas was match of the tourney so far. Great drama and I'm sure Murray was enjoying watching a five setter with his feet up at home.

Enjoy! Burrage, Boulter is interesting.
I had Burrage close to her after watching the last few matches. She has improved enormously over the last couple of years.
Have laid Boulter at 1.54 and think it is a great bet.
Quite sad in Nottingham today, walked past the Dart/Watson match and less than 20 there. It is on court 1, but they have only sold centre and Match was rescheduled.
How is it at Nottingham, are the mens matches getting bigger crowds and hype even though on paper the Challenger is a step below the women's 250? I have had a little bet on Burrage for a sweat on your recommendation! Have not followed the tournament this week there on the ladies side. Am only here today. I think Men's challer is > women's double final, and we have really good seats right behind Andy Murray, hence not moving. I came last year and would say WTA final was better supported than the men's final despite Dan Evans in the latter. We are in the gap between matches so less than half full now, but natural time to eat. We sneaked out between sets as I have grumpy kids with me.
