The 50 50 is quite a fast structure and its quite early on.

yo reread this thread - still feel peeling is pretty bad here tbh - definitely a leak - how wide are ppl peeling here if they are with  ??

Gotta call PaulHo up on "Always know where you are in the hand" comment - sorry but for example the board comes  to  high rainbow - is the plan to check call three streets here? - because surely anybody decent is gonna get three full streets of value here with a better hand.

Having said that Paul peeled a raise pre with  after I opened the c/o at the DTD £300 f/o last month and won a decent pot off me, so maybe I do not fully understand live unlimited holdem.

Surely 3 betting merges ranges here? Plus the idea of playing an inflated pot oop is fair, but your far more likely to win a pot you have 3 bet pre than one that has gone open then you call from the bb. There are abs loads of boards that the original raiser will simply fold on the flop.


Off the three options I would fold, most of the time and prefer 3 bet to circa 3k than calling.

I called the raise as i think you was raising with a wide range and you was pretty annoyed about how things were going during the tourney.
I was gonna do a stop and go or delayed stop and go but my hand had some show down value hitting 2nd pair on the flop. The ace was abit of a concern so i just check called. turn was a blank so it went check check. the river was the worse card for you an Ace. This made me pretty confident i had the best hand.
 was gonna check call as i dont think you can call with much of your range if i bet out because you checked the turn.


even you said it was the worst card for you to barrel yet you still barreled on the river.

surely this is a pretty standard line for A8-AJ in this spot - bet flop, check back turn, bet river - tbf i was pretty sure he was passing a six on the river or I wouldn't have barreled.... but its okay to judge me on this one hand of holdem lol, but still feel calling oop here is optimal?

This guy surely has to be an epic level - the 3 1/2 big blinds spin from 76k to 2 million is [ ] "sensational" - [ ] "cream will always rise."

Kid sure looks like he analyses the game well and approaches the game with mathematical and logic based theories and doesn't let his ego of 4 days of  "sensational" poker [coolering the entire population of St Lucia] affect his poker at all.

Seems the perfect ambassador for PokerStars tbh.

I suppose we will never know the full details of what has gone on.. alarm bells started to ring when he missed the post match interview at Milton Keynes tbh - I think a large percentage of the fans would at least like to have an explanation of his reasons for leaving, etc - as the last thing we have heard in an interview (On the 30th Jan) was that the BWFC "Was a great job for somebody else" and that he still "Has a job to do at Turf Moor."

Gartside may or many not be guilty of breaching Premiership regulations, time will tell as I am pretty sure BFC will be making a complaint about what has occured over the last 6/7 days. What can be said though is that he comes across as a very gut throat business man - lets hope this particular move fails!!

In my opinion BWFC and its fans dont really deserve this move, Owen Coyle despite his now tarnished reputation in terms of loyality and sense of own worth, remains probably the brightest young manager in British football - yet BWFC have managed to secure his appointment by barracking the board and the former manager, when in my opinion he did a pretty good job there over the 2 year spell.

Bolton will struggle FACT!
Burnley will struggle FACT!

Lets hope that the Coyle's move to BWFC ensures our safety in the FAPL - one can only hope..

nah not as easy as that - gartside is reported to have been at Coyle's family do in Scotland after the MK dons game on Saturday - it was also Gartside who recommended Coyle to Burnley 18 months ago for the job. I think you would have to be very very naive to believe that Coyle has not been tapped you for the job, look at the way the odds came in massively before any official approach was made by BWFC.

In contrast I think the way the BFC board has managed themselves, especially Barry Kilby on SSN this aft was fantastic, no man is bigger than the club - and it has become pretty apparent that Coyle leaving Burnley was down to wages in part, but more available transfer funds - something Barry Kilby was not willing to shift on to risk the long term future of the club.

In reality the god we so desperately seeked and should have hailed was not the once almighty Owen Coyle, but the passionate, loyal and true claret Barry Kilby.

Despite the fact that the club currently looks like a bit of a joke, i.e. another club has managed to poach (yes I did use that verb) our manager whilst being below us in the table - it does belittle our presence in the league tbh, it is Burnley, the fans and the staff who will come out of the saga without the stench of disloyality, lies, ego or in fact breach of Premiership rules and guidelines....

Not sure what type of job Steve Coppell would do, had a much larger budget at Reading and felt he struggled tactically in his second season in the premiership, along with losing the structure of that back four which got them promoted and had that excellent first year in the prem. At Burnley he wouldn't have a keeper of Hahnemann's class or centre backs of prem quality - but other feel he could be just what we need.
