I have read this a few times and can't figure out milkman's moves other than being an out and out  fish or am I missing something?
He seemed to take a bluff rollercoaster that he couldn't get off.
Excellent result for you though.  thumbs up

He calls on the button for position. The river bet is usless as there is already too much in the pot. God knows why he calls the check/raise on the turn, even if he pushes it's hard to see the other guy folding with the  in his hand, plus he'll still have 200k left.

yeh love  it when this happens. i remember a final table once where i was on 1 BB with 9 left hoping to ladder up a place. The chip leader went on a rampage and took out 5 people in the round before the BB hit me.

I wanted to hug him but he took me out next before i got a chance.

I hate when someone makes a call like this tho and hits runner runner straight- thats when you do start to to question online poker when there is no feasible reason for the call but just shows u some of the fish moves u even get at a final table

Huh?

the guy raised preflop.. leads out on the flop, and check-raises the turn, where are these "calls" you are alluding to?

I was watching the table when this hand happened . Milkman has admittedly been very agggressive but has taken out some players and won some pots by showing down quality hands. He is also using his stack pretty well and pressuring the table in general.  As for what the heck he was doing here............ I dont know , I mean he had somewhere to be surley?

Well yeah but that bluff effectively cost him $1450- so thin line between crazy and nice play- but id rather at least make a semibluff to leave me with some outs rather than a stone cold bluff of 7 hi- I mean he could have trips or an overpair but by all possibility hes got a flush draw/straightdraw and so ur likely to call ur pair of jacks on a flop like that so why make the play with 7 hi

To be fair to Milkman, he is one of the top players on the high limit tables ($300 $600 limit) and I know for a fact that at that time he WAS playing the 300 600 limit table, and being $50k down - I remember this because someone said if he had won that comp, he would still be $8k down.

So in fairness to him, $1300 to him would be like $13 to me.

bluffs generally always cost you money when they are wrong.. and dependant on what stakes he plays, $1450 might not be the world to him, but it certainly might be a lot of money to the remaining people in the tourney, which is why that style is (in theory) so good

Work through the hand, and try and put both him and the hero on hands, starting from prefop to the turn, and then the river. Hands like this are great as learning tools, not really because of the result etc, but because it gets you thinking what goes through the villains head, and this just gets you thinking about poker, and cause and effect, which is generally a pretty benefitial thing

I dont much like the river bluff, but only because of the card that came. Zeebo theorum dictates that people never fold full houses, and the guy has played it like he has a weak J, 10/10 etc.. so its gonna be too hard to shift him off the hand

Maybe if the river is a 3 of clubs, his bet might have a higher chance of getting through, because without knowing his cards, he has played it like he has a very strong hand indeed.. the turn check minraise is such a strong looking move as an example
