Heard a bizarre rumour today - I will relay it how it was told to me.

Jose Mourinho has always publicly respected Alex Ferguson.

Ferguson will choose who and when they replace him as manager.

Ferguson would love Mourinho to take over when he steps down.

So if Utd win European cup, Ferguson will step down, and Jose would be sacked for 'failing'.

And Jose Mourinho will publically state that he is going to Utd to carry on Ferguson's legacy and to destroy Chelsea.

I think Ferguson does respect Jose enough, I think Jose has got the shoulders to try, and if sacked the motivation, would the fans except him ?? who knows.

I am thinking a fanciful idea but for some reason my head does not dismiss it as I thought I would.  But just in case lets hope for a Liverpool Milan final.

I don't see Fergie going for a few years yet. Not until this team reaches it's peak.
