I really wish they'd started this at 2pm on the Friday. That would be so much better for people with day jobs.

Turn up at 545 after work and buy in but only lose 450 chips.

Play Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

If you get to the last day it's worth having a day off work because you're looking good for a nice cash.

Keep up the debate Tom and Trigg. It rocks.

Its obviously very unfortunate  it clashes with the Gala/Bristol final.........and for many of us online sats are the only realistic justification in playing either.....so to just have one weekly online final is a bit disappointing tbh, compared to Galas 3 a week (and similar fot the GUKPT).

Any chance of another sat during the week, in the final run up?

If they thought they'd get the runners for the sats I'm sure they'd have them on every night.

Truth is they clash with tournaments so people don't have a chance to play both.

Thursdays sat just about makes 20 runners so only just makes enough for the seat. It guaranteed so it's not a major problem but they need to be careful to not have too many overlays.

The proper sats where you're playing for 1 of 10 seats will hopefully start just before the event.

Michael Phelps is on the list. How about Rebecca Adlington? JP might turn up then.

At the moment the "online final"  is only on a Tuesday night.....but I'm sure if they guaranteed a seat on a Sunday night for example......it would get at least the 10 runners needed. (they are running £15 feeder sats every night...which is great)

Is the clash with the Gala 1500 event deliberate?
[/quote]

Hi James

We opened on 28th November and ideally would have liked to hold our anniversary event that weekend but it clashes with the £3000 GUKPT final which will get a big field . So we moved it to the following weekend to keep it as close as possible , we knew it would clash with Gala but they only got 99 players last year so we hoped to get 100+ for ours especailly as we are offering the WSOP structure . We did not know that the GUKPT Champion of Champions was also taking place which will take up to 90 players out .

If our court case hadn't been delayed 5 months our anniversary wouldn't clash with either of these events !

Next year all our events are being planned to avoid GUKPT , EPT and Amsterdam and if neccesary we will move the anniversary event to avoid any clashes with the GBPT Final but this year we thought it would be nice to have the event and a party as close to our actual anniversary as possible.

Instead of questioning, how about applauding Robs balls in guaranteeing £100,000 with just 4 weeks to go and only 10 players registered which could have spectacualrly backfired with Lutons xmas cracker and the GBPT.

Cheers

ACES

I do applaud his balls for doing so, i would applaud his common sense even more if he had delayed it a week so a lot more of us could actually play it! I am tied in to play Gala even though i would much rather play DTD.

Gala got 99 last year but it was a much smaller tour and they had a silly buyin for their final, this year will be a much bigger field.
