No I meant don't think "I don't like busting with one pair". The correct play is the correct play whether its with a flush or ace high.

OK, I get what you mean and don't normally worry about the result of the bust out hand whether it be 1 pair or set over set or whatever. It afterwards that I starting doubting.

Overall I should be pleased with my play. I folded QQ face up pre and the villian showed KK. I extracted maximum after hitting a full house with 85 in the BB. I was all-in and at risk only once in the whole of day 1. Maybe I'm just annoyed at getting AA cracked after 17 levels.

For the record he had K8o no spades.

Exactly what I thought which probably made me more mad when in actual fact it should have made me feel better.................. I think.

I think what alex meant was don't think "I hate busting out of a tournament with 1 pair"

The value of the hand is irrelevant in this long run of situations, there will be spots where we have to fold full houses and other spots where top pair top kicker is nearly the nuts.


was gonna go with the full house example but that would imply that ive ever folded one so had to go one notch down Wink
