Why are you calling preflop if you're going to fold for half your stack once you hit?

I may be wrong and get critisised, but position is key.  You don't really want a caller so I'd either make it big or just fold UTG here.  As it happens, QQ was always calling/raising, but I think you got away ok considering.

now I await to be told I'm wrong

Why are you calling preflop if you're going to fold once you hit?

I folded as i felt i had been trapped, but i do think now that passing
preflop was the move.

              thx.

ps
enjoy ur updates mate.

Never bet the flop to fold.

Pass or shove pre. As has been pointed out you hit the flop pretty hard and then bet/fold, the mistake is preflop.

Yep, folding pre-flop is the best advice here. Although you have the bare minimum of a hand for raising UTG your position gives your raise more credibility, and your hand appears stronger than it is. Despite this the bb still juices the pot knowing he is facing a genuine hand and will be oop throughout. Does your oppo think his min raise will get a genuine UTG raising hand to fold? No. So fold.
