get a bow tie, then you can undo it and wear it hanging down when you're drunk like the rich handsome blokes in the films do.

then I need a new shirt too, far too much effort. I'm sure tikay would approve of a dickie though

No - a BowTie is wholly inappropriate. A cravat is fine in some circumstances, but not this one.

It's your Sister's weedding, & if we are being serious, it would be a gross insult to her not to wear a Tie.

The fact that many folks no longer attend Weddings & Funerals properly attired is irrelevent. You are not a sheep, do what's right, not what the kids say is trendy.

The IRONY drips out of that one Tikay.

Surely the 'kids' stopped wearing ties so as NOT to be the sheep.

TBH I'd ask the people whose wedding it is - do they want formal, semi-formal or casual?

Yup, brown shoes are "in" now. What would our Dad's have said? My Dad would have shot me if I wore brown shoes in those days. Kids, eh?

ok, problem solved, I found a tie in my sock draw, abs no idea what it was doing there but it works with the suit and as the general consensus is to wear one I will. sorry tony but I feel the need to be a sheep here.

I'm gonna be well pissed if no-one else is wearing them though.

It's more a matter of respect, than fashion.

It's respectful to your Sister to make a little effort. It's disrespectful to say I can't be arsed.

If no-one else is wearing a tie pm me and I can give u the deactivation code for the standard 24hour tie-wearing-lock that activates the minute u put it on.

No need to thank me.

People just wouldn't be seen dead in a pair of brown shoes in the 1850s.

Tie essential, god forbid you should miss out on tying it round your head near the end of the night and doing a rambo impression.

I dodged it cos I heard horrendous reviews, didn't want to lose my Meryl Streep milf fantasy either Cheesy

His tie undone in Thomas Crown cos he is under contract with Bond not to wear a full tux in any other movie. Unless it was a movie about his sister's wedding, obv.
