I think it was the $5k g'td on blue square $36 freezeout, or it was a $50 freeze on there.

The standard is quite poor, i really didnt expect a call from this guy, i knew what he was doing.

A couple of hypothetical questions for RF:

Would you have been tempted to steal this pot if you were the the big stack in the BB?

Assuming you did try to steal it, how much would you bet, given that all the limpers have stacks in the 1600 to 2000 range and you have 5600?

I wouldnt try to steal it, i never like a shorty limping UTG. And i already have enough chips, its sit back and pick better spots time.

If i were to steal it though i would raise the pot, that pretty much forces anyone who wants to play to commit to the pot.

That doesn't answer the question as to why you think it's bad.

What good is there from open limping?

Hey, didn't your mother ever tell you not to answer with a question with a question.  Wink

Are you saying that never ever is an open limp an acceptable play?

I can't think of a single situation where a limp is better than a raise.

Well, how about a spot where you are able to limp KT parsley and value jam over a BB squeeze for 19bigs?

Seems like the nut spot for a limp imo
