after this thread http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=9320.0 I did some soul searching and decided to go back to work. One consideration was when DTD opens in December it'll be dealer dealt so I won't be able to subsidise my playing with dealing. I'll have to have a much healthier bankroll if I'm going to play properly. Other obvious factors were providing better for the family and wanting to enjoy poker again. same day I saw an advert for a job that looked interesting. Test player for a fruit machine development company. Well, an good letter and two interviews later I have the job and start in a couple of weeks. Money is VERY good. Starting salary is better than when I worked in a bank and it can double in the roll Im in and if I get into design can get upto 50k/70k.

Shuffle Up Shirts will continue to trade but anything the company makes will be for luxurys / bankroll instead of covering household bills. Probably means I'll spend my evenings and weekends making DTD shirts but thats ok.

It'll be a relief to play poker again without the pressure of finding the next grocery shop.

Awesome mate, pleased for you.
I hope it goes well as it sounds like the best thing to do.

Yes GL Adam.

Horrible when Poker becomes a "job" rather than an enjoyable past time - the pressure's of NEEDING to make money Sad

Good luck mate, sounds like a good job. Its giving you more options to boost your bankroll, & not having to worry about bills & stuff. Sounds like you'll be busy, Family, Job, T-shirts, & Poker.

Nice one Adam, i think you have made the right choice for you. I wouldn't be surprised if you find your poker brings more results now w/o the stress of having to cash.
