The Final of the £750 2 day Main Event tales place here at Sheffield this afternoon, & I'm here wearing my 425 Hat, the cameraman arrives shortly.

Here's how things stand - apologies for the "abbreviated" names.

Big Dave Smith (from Notts Gala) 46,000

Mark Burton 13,300

Woodman 69,300

Tom "Red-Dog" McCready 21,700

Marsh 61,300

Aujla Raghubinder (young "Rugster" from Laddies) 56,500

Kaz Siraj 71,200

Max Hussain 32,100

Kaz Kurbi 42,000

Fazzzz 27,800.

It's a 1 hour clock, & blinds will be 800-1,600.

Will try & let you know how Tom gets on. My phone battery has died, so I can't do text updates.

Good Luck to all the blondes.

And yes, I did play the Event, but exited when I clashed big-time with fellow-blonde Rustert, who's a good mate.

He & I play the Laddies $250 most days, he's a fierce competitor.

At Walsall in a recent £300 Freeze, I busted to him on the very first hand of Day Two when I ran my QQ into Rug's Aces.

Last night, & I got cute with KK after Rug Raised it up. The flop was - almost inevitably, when one has Kings, A-Q-x. But for some reason, I could not bring myself to believe Rug had an A, the betting definitely said otherwise.

I backed my judgement, & all the chips went in, & I was right, he never had an A. He had QQ, for a set of Queens.....

I'll get him one day, I swear I will.

Good Luck to him today though.

Yes, Mr Digital is yet another blonde Finalist. I met him for the first time last night, a quite splendid & jolly nice fella, introduced him to Tom, too.

Good Luck to him, as well!

44 runners, £33,000 in the kitty.

10 get paid Iron.

£11,500

£5,800

£3,800

£3,000

£2,300

£2,000

£1,600

£1,300

£1,000

£700

There were only 44 runners, so there can be no complaints that 10th does not get him money back. I'd settle for it!

Ask Tom if he thinks the payout structure is a bit top heavy Cheesy

I think Tom is delighted with the Payout Structure!

He just found AA first hand, in the SB, but got no action.

Several guys, Tom & myself included, are tempted to try & dash down to the Western for tonight's biggie, buut it looks doubtful, especially for me, as I need to be here until the end.

I am off to Hillsborogh Stadium in a bit to do the 425 "Link", memories of 40 years ago (almost to the week) & all that. Intriguingly, the Chairman of Sheffield Wednesday is one Dave Allen, whom, I believe, is the owner of this very Casino, and indeed the Napoleon's chain.

Going back to my exit with KK against Rugster's QQ, I also had an earlier rather nasty accident involving Queens.

I hadd Raised it up with JJ, & Malcolm "The Rock" Harwood called me, the flop came Q-9-9. Malcolm had pocket Queens, unbenown to me, & quite liked that flop!

I thought the turn card was pretty handy mind, when the J fell.........

Chips! (It was a Double Chance).
