While we're throwing ideas about, you know in village pubs there's often a wall where people put their business cards up. We could have similar here. amongst the blonde community there must be everything from Accountants to plummers, Drivers to Lawyers, artists to T-shirt manufacturers (ahem Grin) an  e-business card swap. not on the forum (where it'd be open spam warfare) but on the main site by application.

to tell the truth i would prefer NO spam, adverts or plugs whatsoever. If i want a plumber i look in the yellow pages or do a google.

then you dont visit that part of the site but if I'm looking for an accountant or corperate lawyer for my business I'd like to talk to a fellow 'approved' blondite. just basic networking.

ok the "if you don't like it don't go there" argument sort of negates the need to attract traffic does it not?

I know what you mean but, like a links page it just gives individuals and companies that share blondepoker as a home to work together. I'm very into the idea of community and rather than a spam thread on the message board (not such a daft idea though, at least it would all be together) I like the idea of a page on the site where recognised and trusted members of the blonde family can offer their services.

Would you not just get a wave of spammers joining up just to get their business advertised?

it could moderated i guess, its kinda a good idea i mean theres a few of us here with different skills that could one day come in useful to other people. I agree with Adams view of it being networking. instead of just blatent adverts it could just be  apiece about what each individual is good at or can do ie Adam with his tshirts, Robert HM for legal advise etc.
A few other sites i use have this sorta iniative going and it works quite well. If another blondite is a plumber and you need one chances are he'll live miles away anyway but could give advice on estimates and the like, so therefore it would be less of an advertising oppurtunity and more of a sharing of information.

I quite like this idea. maybe have some sort of program whereby you can only make a post on that board if you have more than 100 posts or something.....
