I arrived at Luton at about 3pm just in time to take the last remaning seat in a £30 satallite. I managed to win it, so that was a good start.

There were only 30 runners, but it was one of the most enjoyable nights of poker I've ever had. It was played in a lovely spirit, and the banter was so good that you felt like you wanted to be on all the tables at once.

It was a lovely structure, 10,000, starting chips and a 45 minute clock. I managed to finish 5th (6 of the final 9 were blondes) tikay went out in 6th but got a 'saver'

The last three did a chop, leaving £1000 to play for. MichiganBlue was chip leader at this stage, then Colchester Kev started coaching him and he finished 3rd. I don't know the bloke who finished in 2nd, but he was a lovely guy and I'm told he is a blondite. 77 Dave won it.

It was a fantastic night, we all had so much fun. It was poker as it should be.

If you are disappointed that you missed it, don't worry, we're doing it all over again today. £500 buy-in, 4pm start.

Well , i must say last night was a great and freindly comp, im over the moon to finish 2nd in this mini festival,it was my first decent result in a festival, which gives me confidence that my game is in good shape!!

Thank you Tikay for keeping me calm up to the final table as i so wanted to get in the top 5, all you blondites are hard nuts to crack and i am pleased i have now got a game  good enough to compete.

I must say that i play at Luton on a regular basis but never has a tournament been played in such nice spirit and great humour, with michiganblue, red dog, 77dave and tikay all providing great banter, play and entertainment, I was honoured to be amongst them , you are top blokes and its giving me the taste to be in another final soon!!

Regards Ian "Xpressman"
