Doh... in best Homer style. I didn't read the list I gave Jen, just going on who I can see. There are 3 areas of tables and some are inaccessable, having said that he is about 20 feet away...... he's a small bloke and easily missed Roll Eyes

(still Robert)

..... and all the trimmings no doubt.....

She got bored waiting and went for chip count walkabout, sandwich has arrived and no Jen..... offering odds on whether it is still here when she gets back.

Back to my earlier question (see page1 of this thread)  The online sites register you by your own name, when you get a draw, they pay YOU, not the internet site that you qualified from.

So it seems i have answered my own question ... there is nothing to stop an online qualifier, or indeed a sattelite qualifier from missing the start and getting a full 5k refund.

Walkabout over- here are some chip counts gleaned from downstairs -will do the other half when the five minute break over...

El Blondie  19,000
John Gale  9,025
Lawrence Gosney 14,100
Carlo Citrone     13,200
Simon Nowab     7,000
Joanne Liu      12,500
Lucy Rokach     13,000
Liam Flood      10,000
Tikay          7,000 (not as devastated as earlier reported)
The Camel      11,600
Surinder Sunar    4,650 (although very hard to tell as all his chips were mixed up when I was peering at them - could be 9,650)
David Benyamine  12,125
Paul Testud      7,125
Womble         9,600 (one hand played, apparently)

Simon Trumper has 10,600, according to Robert HM who is a chip count natural. I foresee less wandering for myself than usual tonight....

Imraan Ladak whom we met in Paris told me that he was dealt pocket Jacks for the first three consecutive hands. He lost the first one and won the other two, but was coming out for a cigarette after that. Player quote "very strange."

Well I would like to put my support behind Lawrence Gosney for being a top bloke
and Tikay to get a good draw for ( Services to POKER) Good luck to you both.
And Jenn you are a STAR.

Break over (they only got enough time to get halfway to the bathroom).

Story from Tikay - Sir Clive Sinclair holding A5 was up against a player with AQ. The flop came A high, Clive bet 1,000, was raised to 3,000, called. The turn was a rag, and Cllive checked and then flat called the 2,000 bet. On the river he called again and their Aces and kickers decided the hand. Odd.

Yes hotdog, he's still there but I am up here. Within ten minutes. (Couldn't see his chips when I was there and he was in a hand)...

Must be a typo on the womble hand jen, if they have only been playing for 2 hours there is no way he has played a hand yet.
