(Robert)
Here's a hand just told to me by Simon Trumper:
Simon in the Big Blind. There is a raise to 500 and Martin De Knijff flat calls, Simon raises to 2100 and original raiser folds, Martin calls . Flop is 10 high, i.e. rags. Simon bets 7000 and Martin folds and shows Jacks!.... Simon shows his Queens. An inspired fold perhaps.

Back to my earlier question (see page1 of this thread) The online sites register you by your own name, when you get a draw, they pay YOU, not the internet site that you qualified from.

So it seems i have answered my own question ... there is nothing to stop an online qualifier, or indeed a sattelite qualifier from missing the start and getting a full 5k refund.

I think that for this years WSOP in vegas anyone who qualified via the internet had the payment sent direct from the poker site to the WSOP so i assume that if you pull out then the payment would get sent back to the poker company, of course if you won it then you would get the money. I hope i make some sense! Smiley

Jen back - here are some counts:

Firstly, the chip leader, ahead by a mile and a half is on Tikay's table, a gentleman by the name of Henry Nowakowski, who according to Tony is "hitting everything."

Probably close to the top of the next tier is El Blondie with 21,300

Also:
Carlo Citrone     9,400
Micky Wernick   18,000 (asked if he wanted to comment for you guys online, he said "I'll just bok myself and be out in five minutes.")
John Gale       8,000
Simon Nowab    4,725
Liam Flood      11,500
Lucy Rokach    11,025
Keith Hawkins   12,000
Tikay          6,000
John Shoreman   9,000
David Benyamine 16,000
Paul Testud     15,000
Greg Amoils     12,150

Different laws in the USA I believe.

You would just be anted away there. Here there is the "bums on seats" at the start rule.

Forgot to mention that this Henry Nowakowski has over 40,000.  Extraordinary.  I'll question Tikay in the break.
