Never mind that lot, how's sir clive doing

Story from Tikay - Sir Clive Sinclair holding A5 was up against a player with AQ.  The flop came A high, Clive bet 1,000, was raised to 3,000, called.  The turn was a rag, and Cllive checked and then flat called the 2,000 bet.  On the river he called again and their Aces and kickers decided the hand.  Odd.

this is total poker, he just got unlucky when he saw the 5

Ironside - no Maclean on the players list, nor Simon Zack. Will do the others for you in a couple of minutes.

No Ben Grundy on my list either I'm afraid, but I may have just missed him and will look anyway - you sure he's here?

Channing hadn't really got going when I spoke to him last, but just heading over there to get some fresh counts so I'll let you know what he lets me know.

Rob Yong says hello to Louise - "Good job I'm better in bed than I am at poker - I last longer" Sitting on just 3,000 at the moment, after a full house vs full house in which he came out on the wrong side.

Players on one of those super-short breaks at the moment

They have definitely broken a table. I know this because I counted Greg Amoils' chips downstairs, and there he is upstairs right in front of me. This means that there are nine players at least out, with some very short stacks floating about.

Freddy Deeb    9,000
Simon Trumper 16,000
Imraan Ladak    5,840
Mike Magee    17,500
Greg Amoils    12,000
Neil Channing   1,950
Womble      11,075
Achilleas Kallakis 17,000
Burnley John   18,725
Peter Roche   12,000

Jonathan Rabb reports no sign of Gareth Jones but still working on it - when they break the other table in the main card room it will be easier to spot everybody. There is a G Jones on the list, though.

After the break, Rob Yong almost instantly doubled up and is now on a more comfortable 6k.

Tikay story from Robert (this is great, sitting here having tea while all the action is followed on my bahalf...)

On a flop of 10d with threeway preflop action, Matey 1 goes all-in for his last few thousand. Tikay dwells and then passes, having committed 1000 into the pot. Robert happens to see a K as his hand is mucked...
Matey 2 calls the all-in guy and shows top two pair vs. all-in guy's flush draw. The flush doesn't come and someone else is eliminated from that table of doom. Hopefully they'll be moved up here in a minute where I can keep a closer eye on them - sounds like there's more action downstairs.... air must be thin up here or something.
