Can you not put one on at the weekend?
Omaha definitely NOT a rebuy, it makes the game a joke.

If there is enough interest then yes - do people want a 4th event on the weekend?

After the rebuy period wouldn't the Omaha game be better with so many more chips in play?

I am being totally selfish about the weekend thing, i can only physically play in 6 out of 12 events because of shift work.
Omaha rebuys are just not funny or fair IMO, deep pockets will just gamble every hand.
You will not attract people to it if it's a rebuy (i definitely won't) whereas $3 freeze will.
If you give it a decent clock then the chips will be fine.

Suggest a $3 rebuy will suit most pockets deep or shallow Smiley

I'm more than happy to add a weekend event if we get the interest.

Omaha rebuy or freeze is a tough one. I'll go with the masses, if it's unclear I'll do a poll on Thurs before next week's league.

I would like to see most tourneys start at 8/9. I dont get home from work each night until 7ish so quite often I miss the start. I would also like to see more omaha events but definately not rebuys. perhaps Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo both pot limit or limit woud be great

I don't play so not really fussed, but just a suggestion.
If you want to make it fairer for those who play less events, instead of just reducing it to top 5 scores... perhaps consider the first 5 scores people make?
otherwise those that play every event still have an advantage as their best 5 scores will be better.

A weekend one would be good, I can't make Mondays or Tuesdays and the 7pm on Wednesday was just too early which ment the only one I could play in was the $3 rebuy.

Great suggestion but impracticable as the numbers would drop after 5 events.

5 top scores does sound like a better idea and I too could never make the 7pm so I'm glad thats going to be later.

Omaha.....mmm....haven't learnt to play it yet so by my reckoning I am a dead cert to win this. I used to win ALL the time on texas when I didn't know how to play  Cheesy

Wasn't going to mention this but....it does seem a little ironic that the winner gets a poker lesson.

Thanks Stallyon,

I'll see how the PLO high goes first before anything else but I hope we can get some variation in there eventually.

The idea of the 5 top scores was to make it more exciting. So come game 12 people still have much to play for. The first 5 scores would stop this happening.

Thanks Silo,

That's two for a weekend event. Any more?

Unfortunately weeknights wont be changing due to the fact the current ones were voted for by the majority. I'd love to put a 4th event on for you though.

I didn't get much of a chance to play in this series, I was digging myself out of a hole

Duly dug out, I'll play any event during the week, but none on the weekend. Any time/buyin/structure is fine with me, although I prefer rebuys as deeper stacks make it much more fun after the rebuy period (and quite a bit of fun during as well) and when the buyin is this size, havin a bit of fun is goin to be my main goal

Ive never understood the attitude that people hate those that gamble up during the rebuy, they inflate the prize-pool and are willing to get their chips in as pretty big dogs.. this seems like heaven for those on shorter rolls on both counts. True enough, you risk getting your AA cracked, but its a pretty fair trade-off, and at $3 a pop, its not overly expensive (plus the omaha tourneys are PL, and with deepish stacks, the gamboolers cant get much of their stack in preflop a reasonable % of the time, so you can nut peddle galore)

thats only my personal preference though, whatever the majority want, the majority should get

regards

I'd definately prefer the Omaha to be a $3 rebuy, gets more peeps in, plus Omaha can be so volatile that a rebuy comp would suit all better.

Thanks Totalise,

Personally I'm with you for the Omaha event, it should be a rebuy for a level or two IMO due to the way a hand is outdrawn so easily in Omaha.

The majority rules though.
