Yeah, there is arguments for both, i could re-raise preflop then when he goes ott i have to lay down a very good hand. If he flat calls my re-riase preflop i might not be able to avoid stacking off on the flop. By flat callin i think i have enough chips to get the information if im beat or not and still be in decent shape if i have to let it go. Also if i flop a J i win a huge pot but re-raising pre could negate any chance of that.

I think flat calling preflop is quite a good play as it guarantees you get to see a flop. If you hit a J great stuff you might win a huge pot, if not your hand is still quite good and you can play according to what's on the flop.

If you reraise preflop he might call as you say and you stack off post flop or he could reraise and you lose your chance to hit your J. Even worse he might reraise with AK and you pass the best hand.

I think you have to raise the flop to find out where you're at, if you just call you're likely to have to call down other bets on the turn and river which will total at least your reraise, or pass what might be the bets hand without ever putting him to the test.

I like the way you played your hand.

Yep you played it perfectly IMO.  I think the 600 flat call preflop is fine and you HAVE to re-raise that flop as its a bet he wud make if he had AK.

Then you got away correctly when he comes over the top.  You asked the necessary question and got an answer which u listened to unlike some players wouldn't.  Well done.
