yes they did ok,but look at the leaps and bounds we have yaken since "modern math" has come to use, please, if you have a better invention that has more applications than 0 i'l love to hear it and dont insult me by saying the wheel.

Language, and alphabet, thats tricky, which alphabet, which language, there are so many, they come and go like the sands of time, Heck you can make up your own language if you saw fit, put try making up a mathmatical problem and then prove it, thats where you will have a challenge on your hands.

would we have had starwars without 0, nope for one, we would not have had computers to run the special effects, people persorming the stunts would not have the ability to calculate the angles, impacts, strains tension equasion in order to do their jobs.

in truth any one using this forum is relying on 0 more than they realise.

I am still awaiting a better invention than 0

humans have had the ability to sleep whilst standing for al know as we have walked the planet, hell we walk run, jump,talk and even argue in out sleep, why should standing be any different
