On another note Jen or Snoopy do you think any deals were discussed in the breaks or are they strictly against the WSOP rules?

I doubt any deals were done, they've won so much already and there is some dignity in taking the bracelet in a deal-free manner.

Also, I really can't imagine players like Ivey, Brunson etc being overly keen on deals.

Cloutier would have told any would-be deal hungry finalists where to go too.

I still think Bloch can do it if he has the mental stamina to take it back to grinding out small pots.

I'm sure Bloch is dying to get his hands on the bracelet.

To be honest, it's not that surprising to see this heads up encounter taking so long. When two of the most discipline players in poker meet, it's never going to be a close your eyes and hope jobbie.

Does Bloch seem disheartened by Chip's double-double, then?

well, he looked as disheartened as any of would be I guess

Anyhow, they're now on another short break.

More importantly, that's over 10 hours without a meal break. Is that legal?!

For those two,  I'd expect the bracelet - particularly this one - to be more important than the cash.

Whilst we wait for them to return, how about this for a looky likey:

I still think the Todd Brunson one is the best yet.

Can anyone beat it?

Whilst all this has been going on, Harry Demetriou has made the final table of the $2500 six handed NLHE as second in chips.
That final table starts at 2pm vegas time tomorrow!

Is this the only triple looky likey?

I completely agree - the "against the rules" bit probably doesn't matter a sausage, but when you play super-high-stakes cash, tourneys are all about the glory and the top spot - aka the bracelet.  They're unlikely to even worry about the cash - in any case they're both getting over a million dollars.

I was watching 'Deadwood' the other day and was struck by the similarity...

Apologies for the recent quiet - there's been another break.  That's the only way I keep track of the levels, incidentally.  I do hope they've managed to get a snack - I would've passed out hours ago.

I am sure the double through of Chip Reese has undone a lot of hard work by Andy, but he hasn't looked like the strain of the lengthy final has been getting to him up til now.

Well, it's 8am here now - I wouldn't have predicted a 12-hour-er at the start of the day, but as so often happens when there's a fast start to a final, the last two find themselves deep-stacked and prepared for a battle.  Like this one.
