Ok my oppo is a known, none other than the current Grovesnor plate holder! I have played Claire a couple of times in live comps but this is the first time we have played online, i don't really know much about her game.

PT says 30/11 so nothing to mad there.

My reason for calling the flop is to let her think that the T is good, if i raise the turn she may believe i am making a move and might pay me off!

P.S. Why does Luke still enter the comps, Claire is clearly better!

Dont think you did anything wrong there, other than to bet the flop weakly... but I feel a stronger bet would have been called by top pair anyway. Maybe I wouldn't have pushed on the turn, but thats just me, 118$$ is a lot of $$ for one hand.

I think you needed to raise the flop, by just calling you're letting anyone draw on her terms.  Personally I think you want to take the pot on the flop with an overpair while you're ahead, almost any card after that is a bad card for you if you don't improve.

Raise the flop, there are a couple of reasons for this IMO. You are protecting your hand and making your opponent define their hand.

Your opponent most likely has reasonable 10 agreed but with the exception of a10 are they really going to bet the hand again into a raisor out of position who has flatcalled their flop bet, in my experience at reasonably stakes the answer is no, so you are milking to make not that much quite often. Also their 10 could quite often look not as good if a bad card turns for them like and a,k,q,j which does not pair their kicker and they won't put any money in when you could have got some on the flop from a raise. The same reasoning if more so from passively pre flop played jacks

Also what if your opponent has hand likeĀ  you are not charging them to draw and you will end up donating your stack if they hit.

Also if you get unlucky to run into a good opponent who is prepared to lead their monster into a raisor ie a set here you can often pass an overpair to a 3-bet.

Unfortuantely you have not gained enough info by the turn and have committed your whole stack without any real consideration for what your opponent has. What hand calls your all in that you beat, i can't actually think of one.

Sorry if i appear harsh but i really like to define my hands early in deep stacked cash poker as a mis step costs you alot of money in relation to your trickiness gains.

I think it is too risky to flat call:

Also what if your opponent has hand likeĀ  you are not charging them to draw and you win end up donating your stack if they hit.

This is the first example, if they have called you with something like 56suited, and they connect for cheaply then you will end up paying them.

Secondly if you are right in her having a bare 10, you must raise it as if she hits a cheap hidden second pair you wont know where you are and still may end up paying her off.

Finally she may have an AK and assumes that you have similar high cards and have also missed, by not raising she may outdraw you for free on the turn.

I dont think QQ is a hand you can play too slowly on the board, you needed to take the lead on the flop and make it $35 or so more to her...if she then plays back at you here you can slow it down and put her on a hand.
