Introducing the blondeites...

(1) The surprisingly non-tantastic jbsc, fresh off a flight from his current place of abode, Greece. He's gonna need plenty more of those Red-Bull wings if he's to make this final table. Gonna be a long one...

(2) Cheeky monkey Ariston hiding his chip. "Tell them I'm into Level 2," he cries. So er, listen up, Ariston is into Level 2.

(3) A cleanly shave Mad Turk looking and acting less mad than usual, which is saying something!

(4) Finally, BOGOF - A two one offer with Womble looking down at his cards and a always tantastic Carlo Citrone checking out the tasty valets in the foreground.

I wish the ceiling were high enough for me to climb something and give you an overview of the room - it really is on a scale unlike anything in Europe.  This doesn't mean that bigger = better in every respect, just that the chip noise is subtly overwhelming and everywhere you look someone is raising, folding, or doing whatever you can do at a poker table (including eating, swearing (but not the F-bomb) wearing a towel draped over their heads (saw two of these)) but not smoking or talking on their mobiles.

There are empty tables right at the front of the space I've named "Quadrant two" - and while I was wandering I actually saw three players being eliminated.  It's a very different kettle of fish from the HORSE!!

And just as I was remarking on how odd it was to see Isabelle Mercier in a hat (she has such nice hair) - I am reliably informed by Brad that she is OUT, but by no means one of the earliest casualties...

Julian Thew is OUT - apparently 20 mins or so into the comp... Ariston tells me that's better than he fared yesterday.

Meanwhile Ariston himself has exited - this time through no fault of his own - he raised to 225 with , found one caller and then the big blind made it 600 to go.  Ariston pushed all in for just under 2,500, and the big blind called like a shot, with .  The way they deal over here (all three flop cards out at once, turn and spread) meant that when he saw the Queen on the top of the flop, he was already standing up, and wondering whether he ought to swear seeing as the 10 minute penalty would be irrelevant...

Shootout News

Blondeite Roland de Wolfe has made the Final Table of the Shootout event!  And word is that he may be the newest Full Tilter...although no sign of him in the hospitality  suite.

Here's fellow blogger Dan Michalski, who's has just exited the comp.

In his own words... "You can normally afford just 2 or three mistakes max in this comp. Unfortunately, I was on the fourth or fifth."

There's this guy from London that Jen and Mel know, I think they called him 'boobs' or something (??). Anyhow, he's just taken out Mateyboy with Q-Q vs A-Q on a 4-9-5-9-3 board, pushing his stack up to a chip-lead threatening 10.3k.

Can someone fill me on his real name?

Quiet Asian fellow with glasses, tends to wear a suit.

Tighty? Any ideas?

Rob Hollink -- 1,500
Andy Black -- 2,000
Barry Greenstein -- 5,100
TJ Cloutier -- 4,550
Dave O'Callaghan -- 1,500

Before I forget, I want to take this opportunity to plug Pauly's Tao of Poker site, I'm sure you've heard of it before, but, if you haven't, check it out.
