I'd firstly like to point out my only experience of pot limit omaha has been in the recent blonde league games!  I am enjoying the game though, and think I'm getting the hang of it.  Would be interested from opinions from those who know the game on this hand - should I have called that final bet, or folded?  And yes, I know it was very fishy play up to that point!

I don't like playing PLO hands too often that have a dangler, in this case the  two hearts. Your hand isn't that strong here, you have TT and T9 suited, the other combinations aren't really useful and on the flop, you're pushing with a flush draw that may be dead to a stronger flush draw or to a made house or a house that gets made when you hit a flush. The raiser can very well have KKxx or AAxx with a better spade draw than you or a made house on the flop or turn. Remember Omaha is all about the nuts, if you don't have them or aren't drawing to them then you should just fold, basically if a hand is possible, then somebody most likely has it.

If you're looking to learn more about Omaha, then Championship Omaha by TJ Cloutier is a good place to start. Smiley

I agree, drawing to a low flush draw with a paired board in PLO isnt a good idea...

I think when byron raises preflop you should be looking to get away from it...then if your going to call the preflop raise all your really looking for is to hit your 10, the flush draw is too weak.

I agree with the two above. The only thing i would really add is that your starting hand, in my opinion, is total junk. T high flushes are rubbish and you really want to make sure that every card in your hand is contributing something. In this case, the 2 is doing nothing. As homer said, your looking to hit the nuts in omaha so your looking to start with hands that you can hit the nuts. Pairs, high flush draws, wrap connectors, etc

In omaha there is no hand like aces which is really hard to beat, but there are a lot of hands that are worse than 7-2.

Thanks for replies.  As I said in my post, I realise the play up to that point was fishy and I shouldn't really be in the hand at all.  What I'm interested to know is, once I've thrown that many chips into the pot, should I have called the turn bet, or just cut my losses?

cut your losses, I'm afraid. there was nothing to be gained for you on that board.
