Cyndy Violette is up to 10,850.
She's on the edge and there appear to be quite a few spectators railing her, so I inquired into what happened.
Apparantly, and remember my source isn't necessarily the most reliable, she hit a one outer.
A-A v A-J, all-in on a J-J-rag flop, Ace on the Turn.

Peter Costa raises to 700 preflop, Mateyboy calls on the button.
Both check the J-8-3 rainbow flop, and the 5 Turn.
River brings a Queen and, as I thought he would, Peter bets out 1.3k.
Mateyboy calls and Peter mucks, so no hands seen.
I'm not sure I would have bet this river, if you've checked the flop and turn, then it's clear you don't have an overpair. Also, many would bet the turn with a hand like A-Q.
What would worry me is that many players consider A-Q and Q-K preflop calling hands, so I reckon it's too easy for them to have such a hand and thereofre not worth betting the River.
Peter may have been trying a value bet with a pocket pair, but I don't think so because he mucked so quickly. I think if he was going to try and take this pot, the bet should have come on the Turn.
Just my opinion, I'm no expert, but an interesting one I thought.
Either way, The Poet's down to 28,325, but still running strong.

They're not as good as they make out, these boxers. I sat next to Audley Harrison last week and I positvely overshadowed him.
And that was just one gun!

Kev - I passed on my good wishes to Kevin O'Connell (from one Kev to another), but he didn't seem to motivated by it.
However, just before I spoke to him (briefly), he did win a small pot. He raised preflop from the Big Blind, and the Small Blind called. Flop comes A-T-J rainbow, Small checks, Kevin bets 1.5k and takes the pot, showing an Ace in the process.

Tony Cascarino: "Yeah, and I probably lose more weight doing this too!"

Early position, middle position and Micky Herron (cut-off) limp
The button raises to 825
All three aforementioned players call
Flop =
Early limper bets out 1.5k
Micky Herron makes a very reluctant fold - he didn't look happy

Peter Costa has sunk to 13,225 after missing 3 flops with A-K and a flush draw with J-Q suited.

I would just like to add my voice to the many congratulating Jen and Snoops on their superb updating.
And.... if you could check on the progress of Simon 'Stocks' Stocken it would be much appreciated... he is at Table 133, Seat 9 - or he was at the start.
If you can get close enough, wish him "good luck from Alan Lake, from the Fox".
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Alan
Is this your man? If so (or even if not) he has 5,000. And he looks like he's trance dancing in this photo.
Yes, that's him... thanks Jen.
(Sorry for the belated reply... but I had to get an early night!!)

Yep, just bumped into her, Cupcake and James from William Hill coming out of the arena. She did not look a happy bunny.
