I think you let yourself go too short and shouldn't have ended up in this predicament.

I would have pushed at an earlier point when I had enough chips to make my opponents fold.

I'm not too keen on leaving it to an all-in call with live (hopefully) cards.

I lasted a lot longer than most people would have done in that position

Thats the problem, you were trying to survive rather than get some chips!

you're missing the point of Richard raising almost every hand,  if i'm gonna take him on, i need half a hand, with which I wasn't getting

Anyway the hand analysis was about was 24 a good call

not about how Iplayed to get to final 10!

Fair do's the 24 was fine, it's just a situation you could have avoided. I am not saying tangle with Richard, i am saying pick an un-opened pot.

That way when you push your 10k the most likey situation is that evreyone passes and the BB calls. Your 10k is then in a 24k pot against a random hand, rather than a 22k pot against a selected hand.

Sometimes you will get a fold around (big mistake but it happens)

And then the final scenario when someone isolates with a re-raise, you get it headsup for 10k in a 26k pot. Even possible someone calls your bet then fold to the isolating raise, 36k!!!

completely agree, however there never was an unopened pot Sad   i was seriously working hard to double up, just never got a real opportunity, and never saw an ace or a king in last hour  but feel that I played as well as I could do

Still well done.

i don't like this statement, mel could have lost as big pot and been gifted this many chips back!!  for what its worth, i believe with 4k invested and 10k back (and i have told mel the same) i would have waited for the next hand(if it came) at least and if not,  pushed all in utg, i completely understand the play mel made but i like to push, even if next hand u have K-high vs the bb, u are favourite (blind) to have the best of it. i think its a very subjective hand analysis where nobody can be proven right... well done for playing well all week, rick

I think i have misread this, i thought it was 10.5k total, not 4k+10.5k
