well what can i say.

Thanks to the staff at the Broxtowe and tonights helpers behind the bar.

A fantastic night for all with the best buffet you can imagine.

The Poker world is full of good people and it was fantastic for me to introduce
Mrs M to the people of the poker I talk about.

Many thanks to  Rob for a special night.

Regards

M

I have been offline 36 hours - something came up - & likely to be offline for another 24 hours at least, so apologies for all the unanswered e-Mails & PM's.

But I just wanted to thank Rob for the "do" he gave tonight at his boozer, the Browxtowe Inn.

He pledged to double whatever the Bar Bill was & donate it to his splendid Charity. The Bar Bill was £7,000 (and it was a free bar all night!), so thats £14,000, plus the Raffle raised another £2,000, so £16,000 was raised in all. Top stuff, Rob.

Who was there? Hard to remember everyone, but I recall seeing....

Rob Yong - obviously.

Nick Smithers Whiten. Lost weight, hair had a makeover.

Chubbs Nowab, & his wife - wow, she is beautiful.

ActionJack & his good lady. ActionJack has got himself a nice little beer belly.

Simon Aces Trumper, looking well, & Mathilde, looking even weller.

Nightfly, lost weight, shorter hair, well chilled out, & Mrs Nightfly, radiant.

Yogi, laid back as ever. Clearly been eating well.

Lord Wernick

Claire, & puppies.

Dave El blondie Colclough, unbowed by his Vegas trip, but still out of form, suffered another huge outdraw in Brighton this week.

Rhowena, looking superb. Enjoys a wee dram or two, does Rhow.

Thewy, wearing a pair of old canoes and an unironed shirt.

Richard Gryko. Insist on calling me Gramps. Don''t like him. Well OK, just a bit. Flew the flag so bravely in Vegas, & playing Gutshot next week.

Carlo Citrone, in a well-cut suit, sauve as you like.

Colchester Kev, serving behind the bar. One for you, two for me, one for you......

Chili, fresh from a wonder comeback in Sheffield, & £4,4000 better off. Mum was there, too.

Michael "don't call me Bepe" Greco.

Jonathan "Alright Jack" Raab. One of poker's nicest & most genuine men.

Tight End, having a well-deserved night off from APAT & blonde.

Charmaine. Swoon......

Payl M3Boy Garnham, just home from Vegas.

Ginger "Jane", how sweet is she?

Flushy, drinking Babycham.

Kevin O'Connell & the delicious Leana.

Paul King & Mrs King, the latter looking stunning.

Kim Costa, & his lovely wife.

Wonble

Steve Read

John "MPower" & Sarah - Sarah is not at all how I expected her to be, she is truly lovely.

Dubai

Barry "Vinni" Neville - doorman, in his full Doorman Gear. Does the job well.

Bainn (Christion) & Harmony 26 (Helen) who gave me two lovely gifts. A presentation pack of £2 x 2 coins with Brunel on one side - my new Card Marker. And a badge "APATriot" (A Patriot!). What a great couple. Bainn cuts a real dashing figure in bandana & full ZZ Top beardy job.

Adam M & his young wife.

Rumit, the slimmed down & so unlucky at Luton fella.

Devilfish, in a somewhat unusual jacket.

To all those I forgot, well I'm sorry, this is the thing with advancing years, I can't remember who I forgot.

But a BIG thank you to Rob, & my best wishes to all at Dusk 'til Dawn. blonde & DtD will be working closely together for a very long time, I promise, watch this space.

OK, gotta go, off to Brighton midday tomorrow, & need some zzz's.

A very enjoyable evening. Nice to talk to a few people I hadn't met before and catch up with a few familiar faces.  Off to Brighton Grosvenor now. £500 double chance freezeout. 8pm start, if anyone fancies it.

I have just got home ..... Superb night.

I had a right laugh , god knows how i ended up behind the bar, but i did a 5 hour shift from about 11.30pm til 4.30am ... Ive never had so much fun, It was hard work, but the perks of getting all the women to kiss me before i took their orders was worth it Smiley

I wasnt sure where i was when i woke up this morning, so I must have had a good night LOL.

Cheers Rob and all the DtD guys, Great night and great company.
