Live tourny last night...

£5 rebuy, 18 left. (Into the F/O stage btw)

i have 20000, UTG+2 has 30000 and SB has 15000

i get  on the BB, UTG+2 limps in, sb makes it up. I check.

Flop -  Two Clubs

SB bets 2000, i make it 5000 and UTG+2 moves in all in...

The SB folds and its up to me....

Background on him is, he can be a bit of a maniac 2 hands previous he re-raised me with KQ and when i moved in he called to blag a split pot with my AK.

So i make the call and he flips over  and the  or the  fails to materialise.

Is there any way this could have been played differantly or was that always the outcome?

Thanks

No mate, the odds of this happening are so remote it's always worthwhile getting them allin.
You find a lot of times they have the ace and are willing to make this move.

He could be moving in here with
the bare Ace
a set
a made flush

you are ahead of two of these and so have to call IMO

you played the hand well enough...indeed you've hit the flush with the possible straight flush draw...you can't hope for more when you play nsuited connectors

I wouldn't fold, especially because he isn't a rock.

He could easily have a set, two pair or the bare Ace, whilst you have 2 outs for the straight flush.

It's a call for me and, if he hasthe goods, it's tough cheese, shite happens.

I'd have folded Le Knave.

Youre doing very well at this stage, and you just know that we can outplay all this lot (at Leeds Gala), so even if you put him on a set, I wouldnt want to see the next two cards with all my chips on the line, when you know that in a few hands, he could be banging it all in with KQ again.

Also, John is not a good and clever player, and we saw him shoot all in with an Ace High Flush at the start of the Freezeout section.

Why would you pass if he has a set?
