just heard on the radio that Thomas Gravesen is at Parkhead in talks to finalises his move from Real Madrid.

in my opinion this is a great signing for the club , ive always liked Gravesen as a player from Everton and with Real

and i think he was the best central midfielder in the premiership excluding the obvious - Vieira and Keane.

i also heard the money spent on transfers and wage deals for Hesselink and Gravesen will add up to 17.5 million pounds.

this is a real sign of ambition from the club and i think its an exciting period for the club.

These look like 2 excellent signings & I'm amazed that we've managed to get them to play in Scotland in addition to Jarosik who'll be a good player when he adapts to the pace of the game.

I'm quite excited about how we're shaping up as we've got some excellent young players & now we've a bit of experience to help them out.

Remember Balde & Maloney are still to come back & don't be surprised if more business is done before the transfer window closes on Thursday  Wink

Disappointed to lose Petrov, but Gravesen is a real coup. Just goes to show the lure of Champions League football.

It will  be interested to see whether there are more signings in the pipeline  in the remainder of the transfer window.

He is class. I would have wanted him at Spurs but we went out and bought Zokara instead - who the manager wants to stick on the bench?!?

Yeah I genuinely thought Spurs would have moved for Petrov when they sold Carrick  Wink

there are also some rumours circulating about a transfer from Hibs - possibly Scott Brown or Kevin Thomson

for 1/2 a million plus a midfielder - possibly pearson or wallace.

i think Scott Brown would be a very good addition - hes an exciting attacking young player with goals in him.

Totally agree. Fire in his belly and a bit of dig too. He can play central or wide right which would give us more options too.

I still think number one priority now is a top class centre half. Another big centre forward to cover for JVOH would be nice too.
