Believe me lads this is an absolute banker. I guarantee a Scotland win. The Lithuania result in Italy was a freak result. It was Italy's 1st game in front of there fans since the world cup, there was a real party atmosphere and the Italians took there eye off the ball. Scotland are in great form and are now becoming a force in international football yet again under the guidance of the great Walter Smith.

i`ll have a pint of what your on....a force in internatrional football...i hope your tongue is in yer cheek there ... Grin

2 of what you're drinking please!! Not that good, a 6-0 against the Faroes should be within the capabilities of the top Junior sides in Scotland. A draw wouldn't be a bad result.

Didnt we have someone else who used to give us guaranteed bankers?

Wonder what he's upto nowadays!!  Cheesy

Until i see some decent performances against better opposition i'll keep my money for more obvious 6/4 shots......

Can't be that bad m8. We drew with the world champions Italy at Hampden and we also had excellent away wins at Norway and Slovenia so there has been a definate turn around and for u to say we're pish shows u obviously don't watch Scotland games or u just know nothing about football.

I like optimism. More power to William, King of half full glasses.  thumbs up

We're going tae pump those lanky Lithuanians. In the meantime Ukraine and the WC finalists can take a number.

aw come on...selective memory...what was the home result against norway...and slovenia....did we not draw with them at home, we also got beaten against austria at hampden...

and here is our last few results

Scotland 5 - 1 Bulgaria
Thursday May 11 2006 11:15
Scotland 1 - 3 Switzerland
Wednesday Mar 01 2006 08:00
Scotland 1 - 1 United States
Saturday Nov 12 2005 04:00
Scotland 0 - 1 Belarus
Saturday Oct 08 2005 03:00
Scotland 1 - 1 Italy

since when did we celebrate draws at home..

if you reckon we are progressing how many points will we take against ukraine, france and italy..and then see what the bookies say

it has turned out a decent bet for willie- it was not a good vallue bet and away from home there are a lot better bets.

that aside congrats scotland on beating lithuania

i stand by the point it makes us nothing more than a minnow in an aquariam of sharks.

lithuania ranked 65th
faroes rank rotten
italy ranked 2
france ranked 4
ukraine ranked 15th

scotland are ranked 40th...we wont be at the finals and i would hesitate to say we can take more than 4 points from the class teams...if we get anything away from them then i may start to take scotland seriously....

until then we are still dross...unless the definition of " a force in world football" has changed

please feel free to cast this up should i be in error Grin
