Bunch of ********.

Ok, i'll tell everyone my story so that it doen't happen to you.

Basically i bought some aftershave balm from seller 123Louise0_12 back in march. I paid via bank transfer and then she never sent me the item. She even responded to the first email saying that it was on its way, but then starting ignoring my emails. I opened a dispute through ebay however ebay say they never got this. I said ok, i'll reopen it. No you can't that they said, because you can only do that for the first 60 days after you bought it. Great! I know i clicked the dispute link and entered my dispute however i don't know why they don't think i did. It's possible that ebay doesn't like Opera's browser, that's the only thing i can come up with.

Anyway, despite the fact that this seller decided to simultaneously rip off about 6 people, Ebay seemed to do nothing about it. I left her negative feedback (waste of time) and she left me some (cheeky cow). So i clicked 'buy it now' on another item of hers and said i would pay for it if she sent me the one she owes me along with this up front. She ignored me and opened a dispute saying i didn't pay for it, i replied and said i had paid for it and gave the date when i paid for the first one. Ebay looked at the date i said i had paid, decided it was before the date i bought the second one and gave me an unpaid item strike. Great! 15 quid and an unpaid item strike for my troubles.

I left her more negative feedback and then i got about 6 people sending me emails saying that they had been ripped off and they didn't get their money back in spite of the fact that they used paypal. I thought the whole point of paypal was that you could get your money back. I can't stand the stupid thing but i thought the only reason people used it was because of the payment protection thing.

Anyway, i decided to buy some more things of hers and leave loadsa negative feedback basically to warn others. She opened a dispute and said i hadn't paid, i said i had paid by bank transfer but this time i used a recent date (yes this is a lie but ...) and ebay gave me more unpaid item strikes without even asking me for proof of payment or anything. This is turning out to be a joke. If i had genuinely paid for those things i would be going ballistic now.

I know i've been petty and vindictive but if you look at it, she ripped off at 6 people on the same day and occasionally rips someone off (sporadically as far as i can tell) and yet i get banned for what, far less. It seems as if Ebay have decided that because she sells a lot of things, she is immune and can rip people off as she sees fit.

I am tempted to start a website where people can enter the names of anyone who has ripped them off on Ebay but i can't see how i could do it without it being abused etc.

Finally, If anyone lives near Eccles, manchester and would like to post a brick through her window shaped letter box pls let me know, i have her address.

Rant over.

Sounds like you were abusing the system to pursue your own vigilante agenda.

It's a pisser you didnae get yer balm, but what other option do they have apart from banning you if you keep buying stuff and not paying for it.

Having said that, I do agree that e-Bay is pisch.

Ebay have some funny rules. I was banned from using paypal 2 years ago. I sold some computer equipment to someone in France, dont worry I waited for the money first!!

Posted the goods - thought nothing of it. Then ebay tell me that they said they never recieved the goods and unless I could proove they did, paypal would deduct the money.

Obviously I couldnt proove they recieved it. I could proove I posted it though, but that wasnt good enough. So I emptied my paypal account.

Paypal then took the origional amount from my account - leaving a negative balance. NO WAY was I paying this and after some email correspondence, they closed my paypal account.

Yea, there was a bit of that but surely she should also get banned for ripping people off. They did prevent me from buying anymore of her stuff so i thought that would be the end of the matter, but obviously not.

You shouldn't send money via bank transfer because it is against ebay's policies (because eBay want you use paypal instead) meaning that if you do send money via bank transfer - you are not covered by ebay's safeguard insurance.

It sucks, but if you never paid via B/T, you wouldn't be posting this thread.

I don't understand what happened here, but you're right, i shouldn't have used B/T.

You should send her a picture of your itchy chin (after a balm-less shave) and see if she can live with herself.

I didn't read that bit. The reason they didn't get their monies is because the insurance claim starts at £15 up to £150 (well it was a couple of years back)

How much was the aftershave balm?

Just shows ow sad and pathetic some people are, conning people on eBay over some after shave balm which isn't worth more than a tenner.

I too have had a problem in the past with some guy on ebay.

I chased him up becuase the item hadn't been delivered and he apologised saying he had been in hospital.
He then said that he had posted the item but all we received was some letter by recorded mail about a childrens playground which was nothing to do with what we had ordered.
I kept chasing him and he just kept saying that he had sent the item to us and had proof.
Paypal eventually intervened, freezing his accounts and refunded only about 70% of the money. (they dont refund for postage etc)

Anyhow this guy was still allowed by EBAY to leave some extrememly derogatory feedback which really upset my Wife.

Well that explains a lot.

The balm was 14.99 + 2.50 for postage. So if they don't do postage and only insure from 15 quid she's pulling quite a fast one.

I've been robbed a couple of times for small items so couldn't be bothered to chase them that hard.

A friend of mine got the run around off some woman in brighton, she kept saying she had sent the goods over and over. Eventually he snapped and drove about 2 1/2hrs to her address, when he got there she protested for a minute until she saw he wasn't going anywhere without money or goods. She popped back into the house and emerged with the goods after a couple of minutes.
