Hmmm….this is going to be controversial...... but maybe we should check out the facts before jumping on the “this seller is a bitch” bandwagon.

Thanks for posting her ID as it gives the chance to examine some facts here………

Seller has a positive feedback of 980.  996 people have given her positive feedback and only 16 have given her a negative……….and yours before you were banned was….er  3 !

Seller has in fact received 1122 positive responses overall which indicates a lot of repeat customers who are clearly very satisfied with the things she sells and her customer service.

Her feedback over the past month contains 90 positives and 8 negatives….of which 7 came from you!!

Now this doesn’t mean she isn’t capable of ripping people off but makes it unlikely. Also by the volume of items sold/selling she is likely doing this as a part time business and so isn’t going to want needless negative feedback.

Going back to the original transaction, if you pay by Paypal you would have been able to claim back the money anytime until 30 days after the original transaction. If seller disputes this then they have to provide proof of posting etc etc

Also it’s not the sellers fault if you can’t open up an Ebay dispute console properly and then don’t realise this until two months later!!

I understand your frustration if she didn’t answer subsequent emails but maybe she didn’t get them either, after all Ebay didn’t seem to receive some yours too!

Once you leave her the negative feedback she’s always going to return it. From then on you are totally in the wrong, as you’ve subsequently admitted, with all the buying of her items with no intention to pay.

I see you left her eight negatives in total…including one particularly nasty final one where you inform the whole Ebay world of her address.

What are you hoping to achieve by posting her address?  Malicious and unwarranted in my opinion, potentially putting her in danger even!

Note I’m not saying she didn’t rip you off (it seems unlikely but not impossible) but, whether she did or not, the situation could clearly have been avoided if you’d have been more careful how you handled the original transaction. After that initial transaction for me your actions lose any sympathy you might have had.

Be interesting to hear her side of the story……..

this thread might be of interest Tank...

Indestructable - as long as the seller has good feedback you shouldn't have any problem.  I've bought and sold loads on ebay over the years and never had any trouble.

1) Seller has a positive feedback of 980.  996 people have given her positive feedback and only 16 have given her a negative……….and yours before you were banned was….er  3 !

2) Her feedback over the past month contains 90 positives and 8 negatives….of which 7 came from you!!

3) Now this doesn’t mean she isn’t capable of ripping people off but makes it unlikely. Also by the volume of items sold/selling she is likely doing this as a part time business and so isn’t going to want needless negative feedback.

4) Going back to the original transaction, if you pay by Paypal you would have been able to claim back the money anytime until 30 days after the original transaction. If seller disputes this then they have to provide proof of posting etc etc

5) Also it’s not the sellers fault if you can’t open up an Ebay dispute console properly and then don’t realise this until two months later!!

7) I see you left her eight negatives in total…including one particularly nasty final one where you inform the whole Ebay world of her address.
What are you hoping to achieve by posting her address?  Malicious and unwarranted in my opinion, potentially putting her in danger even!

Be interesting to hear her side of the story……..

1) True, cos i never sold anything on ebay. All I did was buy stuff. Lately people have become fussy over feedback, i had never bothered with it until recently. You can see i have never had a problem with anyone before her and i have been a member for 3 years (which you can check). Also, if she had had more negatives before i bought from her, i would never have bought from her. You can see around 5 people got stung at the same time as me.

2) True, i was being vindictive and she deserves negative feedback if she blatently rips people off. That's the point of feedback. She hasn't ripped off anyone recently, maybe that's because if she rips off one more person right now it makes me look credible, but if she doesn't then people might dismiss me as a loony. It's also possible she wasn't intending to rip others off right now. However, if the first is true then my antics have had a positive effect.

3) Yes, hence my actions.

4) I don't like paypal, i have always paid using cheque of bank transfer. This is the first time i've been ripped off.

5) This is true, why does she need rules to behave properly.

6) Ebay did recieve my emails. She has ignored other people's emails. I have been told in pm's and it's in some people's feedback.

7) Actually anyone can get her address, you just have to click pay by cheque. The point is that now she knows anyone can go to her house to get the goods, she will think twice before ripping them off. It seems that behind her computer she believes she is living in a consequence free world and clearly morals don't govern her actions. What she has done is theft. It seems that because she has done it over the internet, it makes it less severe. It's almost ok and my fault.

Finally,

After that initial transaction for me your actions lose any sympathy you might have had.

I'm not after sympathy.

Ok, i'll tell everyone my story so that it doen't happen to you.

I'm sorry to resurrect a dead thread but the tone of keith's thread has been bugging me all day. No one on this forum really knows me and sometimes i feel like i don't fit in (which is my own fault) so i feel that this sort of a flaming must really influence everyone's opinion of me.

I would like to address this statement,

"I see you left her eight negatives in total…including one particularly nasty final one where you inform the whole Ebay world of her address.

What are you hoping to achieve by posting her address?  Malicious and unwarranted in my opinion, potentially putting her in danger even!
"

Keith, the way you write this makes it sound like i committed the ultimate sin. It is completely biased and clearly designed to try and make me look bad. This is what i posted in her feedback.

Her address is; Louise *****, ** ***** *****, *****, Manchester,

Please tell me how this is malicous, nasty and potentially puts her in danger. This sounds like melodrama to me.

You say

"Thanks for posting her ID as it gives the chance to examine some facts here………"

and

"Be interesting to hear her side of the story…….."

I would like to say that i have not lied or decieved in any part of this thread. If i had wanted, i could have made the story vague so that no one could check the facts. Also why would i lie, what do i have to achieve by lieing about this. If you are going to accuse me of something, then pls come out and say it instead of making up half baked, indirect accusations that don't really amount to anything.

I can't help but think that you have some sort of an agenda here. The way you have melodramtically worded parts of your post make it seem as if you have some goal to make me look bad. Yet you don't really bring anything to the table. The only thing i forgot to mention you over exaggerate (that i put her address in her feedback).

Ebay have some funny rules. I was banned from using paypal 2 years ago. I sold some computer equipment to someone in France, dont worry I waited for the money first!!

Posted the goods - thought nothing of it. Then ebay tell me that they said they never recieved the goods and unless I could proove they did, paypal would deduct the money.

Obviously I couldnt proove they recieved it. I could proove I posted it though, but that wasnt good enough. So I emptied my paypal account.

Paypal then took the origional amount from my account - leaving a negative balance. NO WAY was I paying this and after some email correspondence, they closed my paypal account.

I know someone that had the same thing happen after selling a mobile phone but she was wanting to get a mortgage in the near future and didn't want to risk a bad credit rating. She was totally ripped off.
I have since come across this site http://www.paypalsucks.com/ it has some interesting stories on.

I appreciated KeitheyBs post; I think its good that it occoured to him to investigate the facts a little further than just taking your word for it and slagging the bird off.

He doesnt know you, and he doesnt know her, so in a situation thus is one to  believe the the first version of events with which one is presented.

I dont doubt what you say in your own post, and you've got a right to be indignant about the treatment you've received but this is a forum and i think that the frustration you were caused by the situation resulted in you writting an emotivly biased rebuke of this woman, with the ommission of pertinant facts inextricably integral to her charecter, which KeithyB has redressed with an emeninently unassuming riposte.

I thought it was delicatly and equably worded and affords the seller, in absence of her presence, the chance to be judjed by blondeites(i use the word "judged" in the loosest possble term, its not the securitas robbery) with an impatial insight into the situation in its entirety.
