Being a Hypnotherapist/Psychotherapist before learning poker has helped me move more quicker than a 'normal' pace but after reading so-called pro-poker books, nothing compares with the Psychology books you can borrow for free at the Library.  Where as they dont give poker situations, they DO give you information on how people cope with lying, stress, excitement, etc.  This gives you places to look when trying to figure out a move (rate of chest raising and lowering, main vien in the side of the neck, etc.) also they give you an insight to how the eyes are controlled by the brain so people without sunglasses are easily 'read' with a simple question, the response it immaterial to the question as you'll know the answer.  Worth a look!

Good luck!

Hello Hair, Sounds like you ae getting on the right track.  These books take some finding. Its no coincidence that when Jennifer Harmen took the FBI tests on Lie detection she was better than the pros   who said witchcraft is dead. What I found was there was a snippet here a snippet there there is no one book that covers what you want to know.  Just a chapter here a ccouple of chapters there.   It works out quite expensive so this Helmuth publication should provide a cheap and  easy  alternative... ; Dazza T is spot on its all in the Psychology books.
