£300 Freezeout, 5000 chips. I was up to about 8k and my oppo was on over 14k. He is a well know lag, not a muppet lag either, a very good player.

I was in the BB with QQ, Mateyboy raises in EP to 125 on 25-50 I decided to re-raise to 500 and he called. The flop came Kc 5d 5h, I fancied I was ahead but i thought a check raise or check call was the optimum move. He checked behind.

The turn came the 6d I checked again and this time mateyboy fired in a bet of 1200, I decided to go with a raise and see if he has the King, I made it 3000 total, he flat called pretty quickly. At this point i thought he might of picked up a FD, i cant think of any hand he calls with quickly! (other than the fd)

The river came Ks

What should i do?

I would have flatcalled the turn. If I don't put him on the King, then I'm only really worried about an Ace and would like to get more out of him.

I'd value the bet the River. If he checked the King on the flop, then ah well.

I would normally lead the turn but i was concerned he would raise me.

I thought a check raise would stop him being able to outplay me but then he called me!

He would bet the same either way, its what makes this git difficult to play!

I think you telegraphed your hand a bit with your preflop reraise.

so you dont think he should even check first?

Its not impossible that the river goes check/check!

Sorry it was late, yes check and if not much to pay check call, if he would push me all in I might have folded  -

LOL Nice hand.

I agree leading out on the turn is the way to go.

You find out much more about his hand by what he does here in response.

Fair enough imo, you gotta try find out if he has that King!

Have levelled myself into thinking this thread is a level.

But it is from 2006 so maybe flushy was a giant fish then? along with everyone on blonde?! clarification pls.

lol I think everyone in the world was a massive fish in 2006 mate but very happily this includes Flushy, this thread is evidence of that.

My fav part is that he raises to find out if he has the King, then the guy calls, then Flushy still doesn't include the King in his range.
