A few passing comments from Yoyo:

"I'm on about 30k, not much has happened recently, although I did push Les Kerrigan off a pot. He was on around 35k, whilst I was on 26k, and I re-raised his 2.4k bet to 5.5k and he folded, showing Q-Q in the process. He made a tight fold, especially against me. I didn't fancy seeing a flop out of position, especially considering that I'm only going to win a small pot if I do hit."

A Sivaguru is down to 11,000 after calling a 1k bet on a K-4-4-7-7 board. MB had the 7.

utg limps, utg+1 raises to 1.6k, Stephen Pearce calls, utg calls. IR bets 3k on 2-T-J (two spades) flop, both opponents fold with Pearce saying, "I believe you..."

JP News Now -

He's up to a moderate 14,000, but not going nuts at this stage, exhibiting a quiet solidity not usually attributed to him... despite the lack of recklessness, when he started raising every hand (albeit with AA then AA then AK) he only took down the raise in front of him each time, without coaxing anyone to gamble.  He says only two hands near the beginning of the comp are all players have seen, so he must be as much a mystery as the players on either side of him, who he admits are pretty tidy.  Photos coming...

One of my favourite players, a crowd pleaser. I think he must have known I was snapping.

Martin Wendt is OUT

A race with Ian Woodley.

5-5- vs A-Js

Ian hit a fush draw on the flop, but it was the Ace on the River that finished Martin off.

Double up for JP!

I noticed he had a bigger stack (well double the size) as he got moved next to Ian Woodley - it turns out that the Tilter on his other table did in fact end up doubling him up - he found on the big blind, Tilter raised to 1,800, JP made it 5,600 and gave the guy the 'weak stare-down' - eventually he pushed in with his and the chips drifted JP-wards...
