Petit has lost a 35k pot with A-K vs A-9

The A-9 made a full house

I'm afraid that's a bok, he's just done most of his stack with Pocket Kings and is down to 29,500.

Matt raised 4.6k preflop (from seat 2), only to find a caller in the Big Blind.

As the dealer slammed down the A-J-4 flop, Matt confidentally bet 7.5k.

To his surprise, Mateyboy then made it 15k.

In what was either a rush of blood or a 'I sense weakness' play, Matt moved all-in, only to be called instantly by his opponent who had A-J.

No King arrived and Matt's chip stack has been demolished.

Johnny Lodden appears to be in confident mood, he's just raised the blinds 3 times in a row, each time for 4.8k, and each time he won the pot uncontested.

As a result, he is now on 82,000

Typical style of double up for Stephen Pearce - he raised on the button and the Scandinavian player on his left (therefore on the small blind) moved in, for a lot - more, in fact than Stephen had.  A think and then a slap of the whole stack as he announced loudly, "OK!  I call!" showing , but only after his opponent had revealed his .  "I hoped you had something like that," says Pearce, and then stands up, as a little crowd forms.
Flop:    "I wanted it on the river, not the flop!" says Pearce.
Turn and river:  and as he collects his double up he turns to big TK and says, "From 7 to 77!"  receiving a quip from a bystander, "What, your age?"

Here he is, pictured saying "I get inside their minds" (can't you just hear it) while the player sat on his left waves goodbye to a lot of his stack.

Just witnessed a monster outdraw in which Holland's Peter Vlemmix (picutured below) chewed up his opponent's Aces and spat them out at is face.

I joined the action on the flop, which read two hearts

Vlemmix had moved all-in pre-flop, leaving two Mateyboys (one of whom can be seen standing up on the left hand side of the picture) to battle it out.

The decision was down to a Spaniard, who claims he folded A-J, which, if true, was an excellent release as the other chap in the hand had Pocket Aces.

There must have been a re-raise and a call to go along with Vlemmix's all-in, because the pot was pretty chunky come the flop, especially considering that Vlemmix had the rather vulnerable hand of 6-5 off.

But it wasn't vulnerable by the River as the next two cards came 4 and 3.

Ouch!

I am afraid that Matt Tyler has busted, now, following the chip loss brought on by the Kings - he moved in with , but this time found Aces behind him.  It can be so quick, this game...  Well played all day yesterday, and then a couple of huge pots and out.

Here's why the feature table is what it is - a late-arriving Phil Ivey (probably having to shake off journalists as he made his way to the table).  There are some stands there from which to watch the action, and I might see if I can get some better shots.

JP and Johnny Lodden's table has broken, but they have been moved to the same table. Lodden has position on JP. Could be explosive.
