Well done to Vicky Coren who fully deserved her win today. Although I was slightly concerned that she was playing too passively at one point, she clearly had a battle plan that has forced me to eat my words. After waiting for Chad Brown to depart, she suddenly kicking into gear, showing the other players that she was here to win.

And win she did. Teary eyed and clearly elated, she was exceedingly humble in victory. As can be seen from not only the support she has received on the forum, but the number of embraces and 'well dones' she was dealt out here at the Vic, she is a hugely popular winner. Besides that, it's always great to see a Brit triumph in what has become a Scandinavian dominated Tour.

Before I forget, we must also thank my fellow updaters, AlrightJack, Chili and NoflopsHomer - all of whom performed tremendously for blonde over the four day period. Whilst AlrightJack and Chili (true workaholics who were patiently sat at ringside supplying me with info) were doing everything free of charge, NoflopsHomer proved to everyone watching what a cracking little updater he is, working effortlessly and intently to provide you with all the information on this year's London EPT. Gang, I tip my proverbial hat to you.

As always, PokerStars have been very accommodating, especially Mad Harper who constantly sends us emails, bios, updates and whatnot on the tournament at hand. Sometimes we thank to forget these people, so this is their moment.

Finally, a big thanks to the staff here at the Gorsvenor Victoria for improving the media facilities. Not only were we offered our own press room, but we were given free wifi access, a constant supply of snacks, and full access to all the action. The press room is quite a long way from the cardroom, but, under the circumstances, the big wigs at the Vic should be applauded for doing everything they can to make our time here enjoyable.

So, with all the thank yous over with, there's only one thing left for me to say...

Do you think this win has damaged my chances of pulling her?

Great job of updating Sloppy, Floppy and Chili, I've just caught up with the last few hours worth.

Top notch as per usual.

And very well done Vicky, top result

I just wanted to add my congratulations to Vicky Coren.  Fine feat indeed and nice to see a local and a gal win it!

Ontop of that a massive  to snoopy for his tireless hard work over 4 long, long days.  I know we keep saying how hard work updating is but I could hardly move today.  Maybe my fitness levels are to blame or the 3,267 flights of stairs that I covered on Saturday night, but still well done Mr Raab and Floppy also, great work.

I wouldn't have missed Saturday night at the Vic for anything.  After spending my Friday in reading the updates, I was jealous as hell.  I had a laptop and a camera doing nothing so I begged the guys to let me help on Saturday.  They thankfully did and aswell as lending a hand I met some of Europe's and USA's fnest.  It is something special to be around these guys and see them in action.  I was gutted at Gus Hansen being knocked out the night before but got some reward in bumping into him in the 15 minutes that he was there last night.

Anyway, thanks to the Vic also whose staff and dealers were top notch and especially to Steve who didn't let me miss many all in's by shouting me over on numerous occasions when I was occupied elsewhere!  Wink

Excellent result for Vicky. I think her commentatting on my play in Casino Casino has probably made the difference in her play.

iwas also of the opinion she was playing to tight to win but win she did and i eat my words. Paradise must be a bit gutted that they dont get the publicity but with only two women on the pokerstars pro list could we be seeing the first english woman sponsored by pokerstars?
