Just thought I'd say hi - finished my banking internship and turned down the €120k job offer that came afterwards to instead go back to uni. Just figured that I'd much rather live a life rather than live a job (never left the office before midnight during said internship, something like 15h/day, so noooo fun, really) Anyway, moved into my new room in London yesterday, very luxurious 8sqm + en-suite bathroom of some sort. Funnily enough, I was still happy I made that trade for uni vs job. Among lots of other good things about choosing not to become an investment banker is also the fact that I will now again have lots of spare time on my hands (until uni starts next week, when things might suddenly change again), and will probably spend a lot more time on the forum than over the last few months. So hi again, everyone

Also started playing poker again, which I hadn't done this summer at all (except for perhaps 10 20-seaters at party) and opened up bpl earlier on, to find a beautiful $1 sitting in my account. Had managed to donk off most of my (luckily rather small) blonde roll at some point in may and hadn't touched the site since then. Anyway, decided to set myself the challenge of turning that $1 into a decent bankroll again. To make things more fun, I've figured I (well, we) could turn this into a bit of a competition if anyone's up for it:
Starting bankroll: $1.00
Where: BPL
When: From now until say next Sunday, 8pm
Who: Anyone willing to venture down to the $0.02-$0.04 ring games
Hmm, suppose this will have to be a trust-based, unless anyone interested has a better suggestion. Well, let me know what you think and if anyone's up for it, let me know, then we can use this thread or a new one to keep track of results on a regular basis? Oh, don't remember who it was, but wasn't there some pro who turned $1 into $200,000 ? Think we should aim at something in that region, no?!
