i am a member of the riverboat but wont be traveling 4 hours down the road for a 5 rebuy event, infact i wonttrravel to play any rebuy event if they started doing a 200 or 300 freeze or dc freeze each month i would travel
my local casino is aberdeen and if i was playing tonight it would be there only a 90 minute drive there

i did mate, but im not sure if that buy-in is a little steep for me at this moment in time bud, (hence the reason why i asked if there would be any Sat's running for it)
Teacake, Rod, Patman, Div and myself have all got a home tourney the night before, so if i win a good bit from that, i might chance my arm.
No matter what tho, ill still be going along, so i can meet a few of my new Friends.
Are you heading along?

I know all the lap dancing, but only two are half decent, heres a list:
Legs n' Co
- just along from the River boat, a bit cheap and once your inside, youll realise why!!
Diamond Dolls - AkA Diamond DOGS!
- also cheap, and you will also realise why!
the two good ones are:
Truffles
- 10 entry and 10 a dance, Great girls in there, hopwever its on the first floor, so im 99% certain thats ruled out for wheelchair access!
Seventh Heaven
- the newest and best in my opinion, women = Stunning. again 10 entry, 10 a dance! (not got a clue about wheelchair access, but i do know that they have a VIP lounge on the ground floor as soon as you walk in, so if you speak to them early, and stump up about ...say...200 you could have that for the night with about 5-7 women and champagne all night (obviously we will need to be with you, just incase!!

I once again must intervene in this thread having spent a small fortune researching lap dancing establishments throughout the civilised world - (for my forthcoming book about poker and lap dancing you understand - suggestions for the title welcomed). I have only visited Truffles and Seventh Heaven. Truffles was very quiet when I was there but the girls were ok. The door staff at seventh heaven impressed me with their professional attitude: Me - how much is it to get in? Doorman "Ten quid - r u pissed?" Me "Well obviously it's 12 oclock on Friday Do you want me to come in or not? Doorman "ok".
However, gentleman may I suggest that we all take a crash course in Gaelic to be used on the forum so we don't give away too many of our secrets to the likes of Colchester Kev!

If I remember from my moroculous state the main area is downstairs, so sadly I think it's a non-starter. There is an upstairs area which costs 50 for a 15mins dance in contrast to downstairs where a dance costs 10 for 3mins.......(proof if ever there was that drunks can't count) To be honest the 2 establishments I visited are very light on girls dancing on the stage - about 1 every half hour, not like in vegas or other clubs abroad where there is a non-stop show. I think that the fact that I don't frequent the clubs in Glasgow although any poker trip abroad is not complete without a visit to the local clubs speaks for itself.

We've actually briefly met a couple of times - in the computer room in the hotel in Copenhagen EPT event when Dave "Mental" Meyer was playing the pokerstars Sunday tourney. (His nick on pokerstars is "hearty harry" we decided in Barcelona that "Mental" was more likely to strke fear in the souls of loose agg scandis) and I was sitting beside you briefly in the 1000 in barca - 4 tables to go 2 seat and 3 seat.

Ahh, got you now. I sure remember you boys playing online poker in Copenhagen - in the businerss centre! But werent you all Scottish?
And yes, in Barcolona too, in the 1000E Main Event. I don't recall what happened to you there, but I remember what happened to me - BUBBLE BOY.
Lets hope we hook up again soon, those big festivals really are tremendous fun, as much as anything for the folks we get to meet.

HOI!!! - I like Legs & Co!!!
Don't remember any stairs there so I think it'll be wheelchair friendly - certainly the bouncer knocked back from the WWE for being too threatening promised to break the legs of any of us who got out of order - they'd need to allow wheelchairs for us to get back in
).
Ironsides - The Thistle Classic's on Sauchiehall St - so a good bet for a hotel is the IBIS or the Novotel - both a few hundred yards away - at least one of them offers assisted wheelchair access. Seventh Heaven is only 1 street away from the Casino & a couple away from the hotels so that'd be your best bet - but there are a few stairs at Charing X Station (near 7th H) - so I'll take a walk round tonight & check for you what the situation is re access.
