Sad to see the shows demise. Let's face it what TV channel will want to cover a Blonde bash in the future?
I still think there is a place for shows like 425, but on a channel that is likely to get more viewers such as on 843.
Good luck to everyone else on the show including Compo, Stillhair, Wormster and Mrs C.
The show will be missed.
 thumbs up

That IS a good point - it's hard to imagine blonde Bash's ever being on TV again. Still, one never knows.

Well one always has the option of actually coming to a blonde bash....

So Poker425 didn't get broadcast tonight! I guess it wouldn't be Poker425 if there wasn't some problem in actually getting the programme to air!! Anyway it seems that the machine that plays it out crashed & they couldn't get working again in time (this sort of thing never used to happen when it used be someone's finger that pressed the "PLAY" button instead of a machine, but who am I to stand in the way of technology!) I've been assured that all will be well for the rest of the week, so fingers crossed eh?

Anyway, can I just say a big thank you to all on the blonde forum for their support of Poker425, it's been a pleasure to be connected to the forum & great to meet quite a few of you as well.

I also need to thank the players themselves. It was Phil Quayle's idea/wish to make a poker show about pokers players & for poker players & I hope we went someway in doing that. But none of it would've been possible without the players themselves being happy to be interviewed by us, sometimes just after taking an horrendous bad beat!

Coupled into that thank you are the Casinos/Cardrooms & Sponsors themselves who let us come to their venues to film.

And last, but not least, the whole crew; Jonny Gould, Dave Compton, Tikay, Rhowena, Billy Foley (camera), Tim Evans (editor),  Marcus Conrad (director), Andy Parton (VT), Clive Lawrence & Paul Tilling (the guv'nors) and all the other cam, vt & sound ops - you've all been great to work with & I think we had quite a few laughs along the way (and a few beers too).

Hopefully this won't be the last you see of us & we will be back in the near future but, now I have a bit more free time (I'm still the Senior Producer for Racing World, which takes up 4 nights a week),  I may make it to a couple of tournaments to play - so there's another fish for you take money off!

Thanks again,

Steve

I well remember meeting you in Vegas last year during the WSOP Main Event John, you were wearing your Wm Hill Cap & were all shy! Never seen you as quiet, since that day.....And I had just "become" blonde, that very week.....a lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then. Or was it peroxide?

Just a note to say thanks to alll the team at 425, especially them "uptairs" who gave me the opportunity etc etc.

Over the years, on various TV things,  I have worked with a huge number of guests and can honestly say that TK was the biggest fish of all.

I will sorely miss Poker 425 as it opened up a whole new world for me, an expensive one, but a new one.

It also introduced me to Blonde, lucky me, and this year in Walsall (incidentally the only football team where 50% of the name is made up of the same letters) was a weekend to remember with great affection.

Finally thanks to the viewers, without whom we wuld have been talking to ourselves. (make up your own jokes please)

See ya soon

I really enjoyed this show and think in lots of ways it was streaks ahead of other poker shows.

Well done everyone involved and sad to see it end.
