I think I'm getting old

I seem to be getting more intensely annoyed recently at the changes in the words/phrases/language that our friends from over the pond keep making to our beloved language, to the point where I think they should have their own lanuage- American not English. Use of words  like 'dawg' instead of dog and 'stuft' instead of stuffed really gets on my tits.

The one that has really got me going today is the word 'owned' which they use to say I'm better than you or something to that effect, and you often see it pop up in your chat box when you get knocked out of a tourney or lose a big pot. Sometimes the word gets mispelt as 'pwned' as the P is next to the O which is easily done, however it has got to the point where people have now started to deliberately mispell it as 'pwned', why would you do that? Is it cool or something?

Now what has really got on my tits today is on another forum I surf they are arguing how 'pwned' is pronounced. It isn't an fecking word! STOP IT!!!!

Maybe I'm just getting old.

Pwned has an origin it is not people constantly mistyping. As for the debate of how its pronounced, we had that on here too. As someone else said, language evolves.

Thats total bollox in this context, i'm sorry, it evolved from the mistype. Exactly the the same way our american friends also use the word Mobney (money) on poker forums in the US, which once again evolved from the mistype. If you can be arsed proving me wrong go for it, but I probably won't believe you anyway.

Yes I'm probably being an old git stuck in my ways and I just hate to see our language watered down, if they want to make up bs words they can call it something else other than English.

P.S. I'm only 35 so there no hope for plenty of you on here!
