THE OMEGA WATCH SCENE/LINE ISN'T PRODUCT PLACEMENT.

Bond in has always worn omega watches for a specific reason (usually a seamaster), this film is establising his character, (hence the voka martin recipie).

So Bond pointing out his watch make is part of this.

Omega won't have had to pay any money for that line then?

actually...the last 4 or 5 Bond movies (especially this one) would never have been made if it wasn't for product placement. But they say they have never taken any money (like from Aston) for using the products...they just get loads and loads of products to use for the movie ...and I'm sure they never keep any of them for later private use...really. (Would be funny though being someone who brings everyone coffee on the set and getting an Aston and an Omega for yourtroubles...on top of your 5.50 an hour Wink

They got 3 of the modern Astons for the film, they totalled 2 of them. When it's rolling (as seen in the trailer) - that really is the Aston, they didn't use a cheap double.  Cheesy

They used 6 Astons, in total for various shots.(and had to pay as far as i know) And as for  paying for the line about the omega, Bonds always used an omega, infact it may actually be in the original book,(i believe fleming had a thing about them) as stated it was like the vodka martin line establishing Bonds prefrences. Lets face it Omega don't need to product place a product that is highly desirable, just as Aston Martin don't need to Advertise the DBS.

Note how Aston won't lend cars for Rap stars for video's.

I was playing poker at the time so if that actually happened I didnt see it! Right man, in the airport security bit. Nice bit of product placement there too.

Also, maybe Flushy knows this, they roll a plane out of a hanger and I'm convinced that isnt a real type of plane - but surely they wouldnt knock one up just for that scene?!

It has a larger upper deck than a 747 but shorter than a 380. It has two engines on each wing that are mounted right next to each other.

Finally got around to seeing this last night and I have to say I was very impressed with it - Daniel Craig really did bring an 'edge' to Bond which bodes well for the future. I also loved how he managed to show Bond's development through the film, from cocky arrogant git to a more considered confidence.

As for the poker scenes, these were actually better than I was expecting, though I do think Bond should have shot Le Chiffre there and then for the slowroll of the Jacks. Also, the other players at the table didn't seem to be able to act like poker players either - it looked liked the softest $10m STT ever.

Funding international terrorism and trying to rig the stockmarket with his own bombings are one thing, but this is what really proves that he's an evil genius. Cheesy
