Should I pass?

Its the first level of a reasonably sized live freezeout
I limp for 50 in MP with
button limps, both blinds complete and check
we all have 5000 starting chips, 30 minute clock
flop
small blind bets out 200, pot sized bet
I raise to 800
small blind instantaneously pushes the full stack in
I know the player, he talks extremely loose but plays tighter.
I don't think he pushes with Q3 or J3 as he knows I'm solid/tight and am not steal raising, I can't put him on QQ or JJ just completing in SB
I put him on a set of threes and pass
Its a tight pass, as he could have KQ, Q10 or a draw (doubtful but maybe), but is very early in the comp and I don't have to make this guess at this stage of the comp
He showed me one card when I passed. A three.
Your comments please

I call
surprise surprise!
I am genuinely concerned that I am way too weak tight in these, against a background of the rest of the field gambling like its a roulette wheel!
hence my post here.

No I pass. I might be ahead some of the time, but if I am it's to a draw which is going to hit a third of the time.
I think he has 33 a lot of the time here and is pushing to end the hand because he doesn't want to take the risk of a str8 landing on the turn.
It's a bit of a setback, but you have plenty of chips and plenty of time to get them back.

not worried about the setback, 4000 is more than enough to play with this early

I'd probably call here to be honest..and might be on my way back home. but I would probably take him for a big over pair..(untill he flipped over pocket threes that is.

he has AQ call
Logged
The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Good pass.
2 pair would probably bet out at that flop.

sometimes you have to lay down possible winning hands though?
his range here is tight, 33 or two pair. Should I take this gamble so early?
(just thinking out loud)

you probably did the right thing to be honest..Staying in the tourney is the most important thing....I still would have called though but would have kicked myself for doing so if he turned over pocket three's
