Pass preflop.

Seriously though, I think you have to check/fold.

There are no draws that he could have called with on the flop for either straight or flush, unless he called pf with 42/52. Raise perhaps, but he didn't call. This would suggest that he had some kind of made hand when he calls your flop bet and subsequent turn bet. You simply can't call any bet with your hand now.

I check pass, particularly when he has you so vastly outchipped. The only variation might be if I knew that player would always raise pre with A and he had a similar size stack to mine. Then I might be tempted to fire again at the river as strength has been demontstrated on flop and turn, but I really don't like going broke here, despite the obvious value in the pot.

My guess is that he probably had something like 98s and picked up a flush draw on the turn.

It all depends on your opponents, but the flat calling on flop and turn is dodgy.

What kind of opponent is he?

If he has an Ax he will call you all the way as he thinks it is unlikely you have it.  Any higher pair counterfeit you.  so it is my pass my friend.

TBH, i don't think A high board is a god one to bet unless you have a good hand.  No way the guy will believe you have an A, 1. A8+ you would probably raise here, A8- possible, but if he has A8+ he is calling you all the way.

Your bet of 3200? why? He has huge stack he is going to call you with any two here.  Your bets look very scared Flushy, or that you are trapping but that is dependend what you opponent think of you.

I agree...i don't like this board at all and the only thing you can go is check fold

and you think Flushy's opponent is good enough to lay the best hand down?

Not much analysis here.

Does he have a decent hand of sorts, possibly very strong. Yes, the board is almost drawless, I would say on the turn he has an ace or better.

Can you make him fold. Very unlikely. If he was stubborn on the turn and called you down with an 8, then he won't fold an ace river!

Combination of these two means you curse the ace and check fold.

Like how you played it though.

A check raise all-in might work here if he bets 10 -15k on the river.  It works better than an allin bet anyway.  I'm sure it would work more than 50% of the time.

your opponent has prob got QQ or KK and your thinking can he lay them down?  the river ace not only killed your hand, if the 8 dropped and counterfitted you, you could take the pot. But check fold and a grrrrrr for me here
